Just got back from a long weekend in Galveston with my family. I decided to try some night photography on the beach. It was close to a full moon all weekend. I know I still have a lot to learn but I was excited to share this one. It has its flaws. I had trouble with being able to focus and of course the dynamic range of the light and battling noise but overall I am very happy with what I ended up with. Could it be better? Absolutely but I will get there. Your comments are always welcome.
Gee, You did very good and I really like the shot!
I will start this by saying I am viewing this on an IPAD. So I may not getting a true viewing of the image. That or my old eyes are playing tricks on me. But overall I like it but it seems a bit soft. You have taken on a new challenge and that is always a good thing.
Lovely shot and well executed!

Very nice - captured the mood well. A tad of a crop on the left side perhaps??

I think it is a compelling image, and far superior to my efforts at nighttime photography! Keep up the good work!
Fine shot and post processing--a Goldilocks shot for your apparent intent.

Thank you Dave. I just wish all the others were as successful.

Thank you! I didn't want them centered but a small crop would work. I hadn't thought about it. What do you see as the benefit of cropping it? Serious question. I like to understand why photographers make their decisions.

Thanks Tommy. I have quite a few more I am working on and I am beginning to think I got lucky with this one. I have done several successful moon shoots but it was just a full moon and no water reflection. Focusing is hard when you can't see.

Thanks Bob. There was a lot of post processing involved but that is why they made those tools and I am happy to try and use them.
