Received an offer from Adobe that I can purchase the 2019 upgrade for $90. Looking at the feature set between that and 2018, doesn't seem like there's a lot I could use except for the increased performance (so they say) and maybe some bug fixes (which I don't know about). Has anyone made the upgrade to 2019 and would they consider it worth it?

Make sure Bluetooth is on for both devices then follow the directions carefully. Bluetooth is used to establish the connection between your IPAD & Camera and is used to transfer stubs to the iPhone. When you want to download the full file (JPEGS only, that's why I shoot RAW and JPEG), you have to establish a WIFI connection - another process different from the Bluetooth. It works if everything is on and you follow each step. The biggest problem I have is switching between two devices - my iPhone and iPad. That's a different issue.

Organizer will tell you the names of the files that are missing. Look for those in your offline media using windows file explorer. If you find them, then go to FILE - RECONNECT and then browse to where the missing files are located. If you wish to move them to your main storage device, copy the files to that drive, then run IMPORT to get them into organizer. Deleted the old "missing from catalog" files and you'll be all set.

I shoot RAW and JPEG. I use the JPEG to download to my phone/IPAD so I can post pictures while travelling. Once I download the pics onto my computer (PLEASE DO THAT RIGHT NOW), I erase the JPEGs then use Photoshop Elements & Organizer to edit the RAW photos. There are some good courses on UDEMY, You Tube, and other places that will get you up and going on Elements.

I've learned, that the best thing to do is to copy the files from the card reader onto my hard drive and then import from the file/folder (I use elements organizer). That way I know they're on the hard drive and all the files are there. I've had instances where I've imported directly from the SD card, thought organizer imported them all, then went on to format the card only to find that, for whatever reason, it missed files. Which leads me to recommend a great recovery program for getting files back - EasyUS data recovery. Really, just got back from a 21 day trip to Europe and imported over 2500 photos just to find that it missed a day - the day we went on tour to the Coliseum and Forum - the highlight of the trip after I formatted the card.

If I understand your question, you want to know if there will be a missing link if you delete a new file created by an editor launched from elements organizer. Guess the answer is - it depends! If while in organizer, you select a file and then click editor, you will launch an editor. If its Photohsop elements (you can specify different editors), you can save over the existing file (unless it was RAW) or do a SAVE AS. When you select SAVE AS, you can specify a different file name, folder, and format (jpg, psd, etc. ). There is an option to "Include in the Elements Organizer". If you select that, then your new file will be included in the organizer. Going to widows and deleting it after the save will cause a missing link. If you do not select the INCLUDE option, then deleting it in windows will not cause a missing link. Try this and it should answer your question.

thanks. I created a shortcut and put it in the start menu under Photography where I have my other programs. Do you work with HDR? And if so, what program do you use? The HDR program in Photoshop elements 2018 is very hard to work with - IMHO.

Hi Michael. I wouldn't know because I don't have 12. However, I imagine they've made many improvements over 12. 2019 is out now, you might want to read the specs and see if its worth the upgrade. IMHO - there's lots of issues with Organizer in 2018. I've been thinking about putting a list together and posting to the site. I miss Picassa.

On my trip to southwest Florida, I put Corkscrew at the top for the day I went. Lots of egrets, heron, spoonbills, curlews, and alligators even catching them mating on video. Next would be Darling. The trip up to Sanibel and Captiva is well worth it. I was lucky enough to capture an osprey killing a snake. Last was Fakahatchee where I went out in a kayak. Lots of pelicans and herons. They were breeding on a few of the mangrove islands and I got lots of pictures of chicks. Pretty cool just going thru the mangroves as well.

I just purchased the NIK collection because I wanted HDR Pro. After installing it, I cannot find it. Its not in the automation tools nor under the presets in the Edit menu. Does anyone know how this works with this version? I saw earlier posts and other got it to work with prior versions. Thanks.
