Nice photographs. If those weren't taken from a tripod, try using one if you can. Hummingbirds are very fast moving (the wings vibrate the body too) and the tripod may help with sharpness. A faster shutter speed would also help.

If Nikon had sent you an email telling you to buy the D6 because it's on sale, would you do it - just because they said so?

If you made a choice to buy a certain camera, don't let anyone change that decision.

Camera , don't have a pellet rifle or gun. Outside near the door, hell with windows. Grab a few apples to get his attention. :)

I've done that but without the apples. The bear was eating seeds off the ground and had a lot to choose from. And the bear had an injured foot. Only way I'd stay inside is if it was a sow with cubs...

No. The Syvp Genie will rotate the camera through whatever arc I request, taking an image and a programmed interval until the travel is completed.

in the end, I will have 800 or so images that I will merge in Lightroom into a single MP4 movie. And I hope to get something like this but with horizontal movement:

I hope you'll do the movie at a slower rate. His was interesting, but IMO it was too fast. Would have been much more enjoyable to see the frames for a bit longer.

Why are you using save as? If you you save it goes to the folder you used to open the file.

If you are saving the file from a removable disk (SD card etc.), unfortunately, you will always have to find the folder you want to save in with each save. A good way around that is to import (drag and drop) all the images you'll be working on into the folder you will be saving them to and then you will be able to just save after working on them, without having to find the folder each time.

I've had good drivers and bad drivers with both UPS and Fedex. The past few years, it seems they've all been bad. I've had packages marked as delivered that were actually delivered to another building, and packages delivered to the wrong place at the building (that has a sign saying no deliveries here - all deliveries to back door) and disappeared (got stolen).

Some people take pride in what they do and pay attention and some don't.

Maybe I am just too think between the ears, but does anyone think Adobe makes updating the PS/LR CC more difficult than it needs to be?

I had the CC version of both and then they changed the names, ie, to Classic. I was able to update LR and stayed in the Classic version, which is the version for desktop computers and not the Cloud. I tried to move a few photos from LR to PS for editing, and the message came back that I need to update PS by using the Help/Update process from within PS. When I try that I get an error message telling me to close PS. How can I use the Update function if I must close the application.

So then I went to Adobe.com and tried to do it there, but I keep getting lost. What (expletive deleted) am I missing?

Why if you have the CC version of both, when you update one, they both don't update? Why when you update, they don't replace the link in the dock (Apple) with a new link? I could go on and on but think I have made my point.

Thanks for any support and if there are any shrinks that are here, I really need you now.
Maybe I am just too think between the ears, but do... (show quote)

If you're using a desktop computer, look in "All Programs" for Adobe Application Manager and try using that to update everything. With CS 5&6, that's the easiest way.
