I spent 2 1/2 weeks in Austria as guide for a small group. That role does not afford me the time for photography I would like, but I am a devout believer in travel others pay for. I have been to all of these places many times, but I have picked out a few shots that managed to rise above snapshots.

This is the tomb of Marie Christine, favorite daughter of Empress Maria Theresa, located in the Augustinerkirche in Vienna. She was married to Albert von Teschen, hence the reference to "Albertus."

Grossglockner, the highest peak in Austria. If you download this and look at the ice field below the summit, there are two group of climbers. They are much sharper in the original, but the size limitation here requires a smaller file.

I really tried to make sure no one would confuse my smartass reply as serious.
But why should I change my mind when I already know I am right? :)
I have tried them. They have no special deals unavailable to anyone else. Their gig is to get you feeling they are really pulling out all the strings to help you and they are very persistent. I have never purchased through them.
West on I-80, Saltair exit and then east about a mile.
That is quite a well-known scam, and there are even some rather hilarious YouTube videos showing the scammers getting scammed.
Do not miss the overlook at Cape Perpetua. One of the best views on the coast.
I have also found it makes little sense to use a wide angle lens if shooting a pano. The closest to 50mm (full-frame sensor) will introduce less distortion.
Thank you all for your kind remarks!
My wife is working tonight. I was watching the clouds and sun and hoping for a nice sunset, but it was obvious it was not happening. I decided to head of a canyon to this bridge on a trail. I have photographed this in all seasons, but this is the first time I have seen it with almost no water flowing beneath.

As an Oregon native, I spent many summer vacations on the coast. My children did not have that experience, but it has become their favorite place to vacation. We were there twice during the pandemic, including last Fall.
One of the places most tourists miss is the Cape Perpetua Overlook. Google it and you can find any number of great shots looking down to the south along the coast and highway 101. One can drive to the top and the trail to the rock shelter (built by the Conservation Corps in the 1930s) is only about a 1/4 mile.
This is 800 feet above the highway and on a clear day one can see 50 or so miles. Our visit last Fall was foggy, but it made for a nice scene.

Beautiful. I think the last two are my favorites.
I kept looking at one other image, one I did not include in my prior posts. The more I looked the more I liked. Here it is.
