Visited a lake side park the other day. Found a guy and his dog having fun. He indicated they both needed to get out of the house. So as they played I shot. I must say I had as much fun as they did. Reminds me of the black lab mix (Tucker) we had years ago. Splish Splash.
Needed a little sun the other day. Got it. As I was on site, heard roster pheasants cackling. Will visit again soon.

Pulled this one out of storage. Visited the river that day and recorded the rope swing. This feature sits on an island in the Mississippi River where the Ojibwe and the Souix (Chippewa) tribes fought fearsome battles. The island, as I've heard, in more recent years is a place where a stolen kiss was stolen. There are a few other stories but they best not be told cause they are only hearsay. This location also hosted beer parties when the mosquitos were bearable. So kids were apparently challenged to experience the swing for some reason. The channel has to be crossed to reach the island which has a fairly strong current but many(?) accepted the challenge for a bit of Life On A String. Apparently a so called right of passage for the locals. Well, last year as a result of continuous high water conditions the tree succumbed to saturation of the surrounding soil and it fell.
