I purchased two Nikon lens hoods for my Nikon 5300. One for the 85 lens and the other for the 200 lens. The lens hoods seem to big for the lens and keep falling off. The ones I purchased were the ones recommended for each lens. Any suggestion on how to keep it on the camera, or would I be better off returning them?
Thanks.

I am planning on purchasing the Nikon D7100 camera. There is an offer for a professional package with a variety of accessories. One of the items is Corel Digital Organization Creativity Software Kit-elite edition. Has anyone used this software to edit photos?
Thanks.

I don't have many photos to post. This one was taken by the small Canon on the Alaska cruise. This is why I want to get a better camera for the Panama cruise.

I'm sorry I am causing all this confusion. Now I have an additional question. If I would go with the 5xxx series cameras versus the 7xxx series cameras would I be giving up auto focus lenses, etc. I an more of a novas photographer, but because of my extensive work in Photoshop before retiring I still like quality photos.
Thanks.

In my profession, before I retired, I worked with TIFF files and did everything in RGMK for printing. Not sure what the Raw format is. Also I have a question about memory cards. What card(s) would you recommend for the cruise. Not sure about the video capabilities of the 7100. Is that something I might want to use while on the cruise?
Thanks.

I currently have a Canon PowerShot A710. It takes good pictures, but lately I have been having trouble with it. My wife held the Nikon 5300 and the 7200 and like the bigger camera (7200) better. We take pictures of the family, friends and other things. I crop and fix them a little in Photoshop elements and send them to friends, etc. I am a retired Graphic Designer and used Photoshop a lot. I have not upgraded my Elements software and I not sure if I will. We are going on the Panama Canal cruise in October and wanted to get a better camera.
Thanks for the advice.
ChiefEW.
Is the D7200 worth the extra money for the casual photographer?
Thanks.

I will Probably buyt the Nikon 7100 camera. There are two deals at about the same price. One is a two lens deal with the 18-55/3.5-5.6VR and 55-300/4 4.5-5.6 VR lens.
The other is a one lens deal with the AF-s DX Nikor 18-140 lens. I assume the one lens deal is a much better lens. Will be using the camera when traveling for the most part. Which deal would you recommend?
Thanks.

Today I was able to hold the new 7200 camera. The store did not have the 7100. My first question is the 7100 as big to hold as the 7200? My wife will also be using the new camera and I thought this camera may be a little large for her. Also it looked a little complicated. I want it to be easy to use, as well as take good pictures. Would I be better to go to a different Nikon, or stay with the 7100? Thanks for your advice and opinions.

The Air Force BX has the 7100 with the 18-140 MM AF-S DX Nikkor lens for $1100 a savings of $600. And no tax.
Does that sound good? I do plan on going to a camera store in Ft. Worth, Texas before going to the base.
Thanks.

Thank you. Interested in seeing your photos and your thoughts of the cruise. An old Air Force friend recommended the 5200.
