Oh Yes! A lot of history. I grew up on a 200 acre dairy farm in Minnesota. Barn pictures bring back a lot of memories. I learned responsibility. You had to tend to them cows and the young stock 24/7. Whether the weather was bad or you were half sick, it didn't matter you got to do the chores. I learned reliability. You had to be there on time every day. The barn was a great place for father/son discussions. It was also a place where a lot of decisions were made. As I look back, I made one of the most important decisions of my life in the barn after a really good father/son discussion. I was about to be drafted into the U.S. Army and I made the decision to volunteer for the U.S. Air Force rather than be drafted. I liked my job so well I stayed for my 20 years and retired. It was a life changing decision and, as things have turned out over the years, it was a very good decision. Yep, a lot of history in the old barn. Thanks again for posting the images. Keep up the good work with the photos and have a GREAT DAY!

Thank you for your kind words. SO much history in these old barns that will pass us all by, but we that have been raised around old barns such as these, all have some very good memories about them, such as the one you have shared with us.

From the flea market. The corn is doing pretty good now. And I have been trying to but this farm for about 30 years now. It is the pretties place I have seen. But they sure want a lot for it.:( Maybe some day I will wear them down. Or they will shoot me when they see me pull in the drive again.:):)

Good job Erv. Nice field of corn and really like the barn. Thanks for sharing...

This little old shack sits just south of Reif, Oregon about 2 miles out. The only shot I could get with my 18-55mm nikkor lens. I need to get a super wide angle, like a 10-24mm af-s mount for my nikon camera, but can't afford one right now.

Enjoy for what you can see of it. I almost got it all in. Richard

Still a great shot, Richard. Nice and clear and good colors in the download. Thank you for sharing..

^^^Sony makes REALLY good, easy to use, high image quality gear.

I am very happy with mine. ONLY complaint I have is the lack of FE mount lens, but I plan to purchase the Sony FE 70-200 mm G lens which along with my FE 1.8 55mm prime lens will cover the majority of the things I would shoot. Planning to list my 7D for sale soon I hope. Not that it is a bad camera for it is not just want to cut down in gear and concentrate on a line that gives me good coverage.

Increased contrast and clarity in LR and reduced highlights.

I guess I need to look at purchasing LR. Just used the software that came on my laptop. It is called iPhoto.. I greatly appreciate all the help and others have given me. I will eventually become a decent photographer.

Taking a portrait of a two-year-old is never planned. It's more like spontaneous combustion.

Rose crawled up onto my dining room chair this afternoon, pulled her favorite blankie up over her head and looked at me. The light spilled through the window, over her blankie and draped her in magic. I just happened to have my D600 with my new 105mm 2.8 micro lens in my hands. I turned the dial to "P" and snapped. Sigh! :)

Very nice photo. A job well done. Thank you for sharing....

Canon and Nikon better watch out, people are starting to migrate over to Sony mirrorless ;)

Since receiving my Sony I have not used my Canon 7D. Nothing wrong with it just enjoy the Sony a7R. Thinking of selling the 7D along with all its lens to to help pay for a zoom lens for the Sony.
