I was unable to update on both my laptop and desktop, getting failed install error messages. I'll try the administrator suggestion later today.

You might want to order some of their Sample kits. Sample kits are relatively inexpensive and will give you an idea of what you like.
Great idea, and thanks!

I use Canon photo papers and Red River photo papers in my Canon Pro-100 printer.
I just received my pro-100 and am curious what Red River papers you've tried and were happy with the outcome, specifically black and white. Thanks.

I am learning Nik as well and can't wait to re-edit older images in LR. By the way I'm in the West Chester area. Good luck with this weekend's snow!

I am busy watching a whole bunch of tutorial videos on various aspects of the Nik tools, prior to actually hitting the buy button.

One aspect they have not mentioned so far - and I have watched quite a few! - is, when you are returned to LR, what is the file type? Is it like PS, which normally gives you back a TIFF file? They just keep saying, "and you are back in LightRoom with your new file..."

I have to say I am impressed with the concept of the control points in these tools! They seem to have solved the issue of complicated selection masking.

Thanks in advance for any comments on this - or other aspects of the Nik tools too.
I am busy watching a whole bunch of tutorial video... (show quote)

Progressed from K100D, K-x, and now K-50. I also own the 35 2.4 lens and although it doesn't get the workout that the 50 1.8 does, colors on the 35 are great, and it's sharp, although I find it less so wide open. For the price, can't go wrong.

I also endorse a Pentax sub-section.

This might be a possible solution it is templates to different calendar setups using Lightroom and then you print them out yourself been doing it for the past couple years. Very professional looking. http://www.redphotographic.com/lr-calendar-templates/

Agreed. I have used these LR ready templates for 3 years. Easy to use and look great. And they are free.

You may want to try resetting to default settings. Might want to note your current settings before changing in case you want to reset your custom settings. I have a K-x and K-50 and have not had the problem. I'd recommend going to www.pentaxforums.com which has a Troubleshooting section where folks are very knowledgeable and helpful. The forum is Pentax specific and I learn something new every time I visit. Good luck!

Update: After 6 days and no response from the vendor, today they emailed that my money was being refunded, and ebay also informed me that my account was credited. Did I get the product for $50.99? No...

However, today I ordered Elements 14 from Amazon and was surprised that I got an Amazon Prime discount, with final price of $39.99, down from the $89.00 list price! Will be delivered Fri.

To be fair most of the complaints tend to be from people having customer service issues. Even the largest companies get things wrong on occasion.

I've seen worse.

Since I'm not a Costco member (Sam's Club close to home), I would be interested in BuyDepot, but never heard of them. Are they reputable?

I hope so. They've sent 3 emails confirming the order, confirming paypal and communicating order status. Looks legit. I'll report back when I get the shipping and tracking info.
