Its still the same patch except the yellow patch is for dress uniforms and a subdued patch is for utility uniform it is black strip with the horse head and the back ground is dark brown

The are some very nice pictures of the memorials I love seeing stuff like that we need to always remember the veterans who gave all they had for this great country we live in. And we must never forget those that died and those that were wounded .We all are wounded vets that have been in combat if not physically emotioally. Also those who served period gave some part of there life regardles if they were in a conflict or not.

Soldiers both present and former are near and dear to my heart I still wear my cavalry stetson. I wear my gold spurs when I ride my bike I am also on Ft Hood atleast once a week the olace were I really feel at home and I can visit the memorials of all the conflicts we have been involved in remember the 1st Team First to Fight.

I want to post this picture I took of a purple heart monument on Ft. Hood here in Texas. Today they are burying a Marine Sniper who was killed here on the state while on a rifle range by another Marine. Today they are excorting his body from Irving Texas to San Antonio for burial. I relize it states First Cav soldiers on it but it reflects all branches of service. I am also one of those with 100 per cent disability service connected.

Yes I still do I grew up with them I didnt start digital until this past 3rd of july I manly used canon f-1 and medium format and 4x5 all of my awards I have ever recieved are using film cameras and now I have 2it nikons d70 and 5100 and cs6 is on my computer. Momopods are great if you are just holding it to help steady the camera for a quick shot or you can t get a tripod into a spot to help steady it. I use a tripod when ever I can a litz tilt all I ve had it for about 24 yrs it weights a ton but it is a steady tripod sometimes I also can tuck my elbows into my body to brace the camera experiance will make you good at that Ive shot alot of fireworks like that but dont give up on a monopod they all have a place and time to be used

I almost forgot I keep two pistols on me all the time one which is a derringer in my boot and a 45 auto on my hip plus a knife that hangs around my neck on a dog tag chain it was made for that am I paranoid no am I prepared maybe the thugs on the streets these days are better equipped than the swat teams you never know what each day will bring you. You can call me crazy or a lunitic whateverbut ask a police man what types of equipment he wished he had in some situations just like the military you may find yourself in a firefight and discovered you needed the m1a1tank instead of your M16. The world we live in is not a very nice place anymore and you never know it is better to be safe than sorry

I have 2 german sherpards 1 weights over 120 lbs the is was trained for the police department and will do what ever I tell her I also have an alarm system that notifies police in the event of a break in I also have a home defense style shotgun numerous pistols an Ar 15 a m14 and numerous other assorted weapons I am a 100 per cent disabled vet and have been in fire fights as the other person keeps wandering. It doesn t matter what I have it is my right to own anything I please to include a kitchen knife which can kill just as easy as any of the above and ot has the ability to stab you 60 times just as a large capacity magazine. It does not matter how many rounds you have each and every situation is different. We had a woman who shot an intruderin her house 6 times and he still ran down the street before he died now suppose there was more than one person that woman would be dead because some punk broke into her house and tried to rob and kill her he also had a pistol. Now what justifies enough as far as ammo would you want that to be your wife and have to make a decision like that or worse come home and find her dead my wife is trained in the use of a firearm and is very good with them. I put her thru real time situations with targets dressed like humans wearing a wig and clothing and when you hit them fake blood comes out you can buy them in any good gun shop it has made her a better person and more capable of handling real life situations.
