It's very effective when a person in your image gives scale to the image. I would like to see images from different perspectives at this place. It would be my personal preference to shoot it from the end of the columns and not straight on .. unless .. the man had been walking on the platform of the structure in one direction or the other.
I really like this, Greg. I like that the bike is pointed toward the direction the road is going. I love the dappled light .. dappled light can be challenging. The reflections in the mirrors is nice. The depth of field is effective in keeping the attention on the bike. The only criticism I might have is that I'd rather see more room on the right and less on the left if there was a choice.
Great timing on this one, Rick. The light is on your side as well. Nice "heads up" shot.
powerful shot indeed! Something I am wondering about since I wasn't there. What is the steeple standing on? Not sure, but maybe I'd like that part of the building included. One other thing that is nagging at me is that the steeple is not flush with the frame. What if you did a perspective adjustment to correct that? At least try it and let us know what you think. The lighting is fabulous. I like the conversion to b&w. It's quite dramatic. Did you take shots from other angles?

Thanks for the thoughts. Loved your ice castle.
Thank you .. and I was thinking of a beautiful field of wheat or daisies for your barn at golden hour. I shot my castle in different light than the two panos. Same time of day, but very different lighting situations. I used a blending technique in Photoshop to mix the color of all my lights and bring them together.

Nevermind
Actually I would just leave the cactus out and let the petals blur. Blur with line and shape, but blurred. It's all about that party in my opinion. I've pulled out my extenders this summer and slapped them on my Velvet 56. I just have some cheap extenders, so they don't talk to the camera, but they work pretty good. I'll post a flower when I get time so you can see what you think of the quality. The extender really helps you fill the frame with only what you want.
Wow! I love it! There is a party going on in there and you captured it. I love that it's at a hardware store ...pssst ... I won't tell anyone if you don't.
i like the shot very much. You have focus on the front foreground runner and the rest is motion blur. Nicely done. I wouldn't change a thing. I like the yellow hat guy because it adds tension to the photo. Somebody is closing in on #3. Just my POV for what it's worth.
I think the first one is the most pleasing. I wonder if the photographer had stepped back a bit and gotten a bit lower if the green in the very foreground would have hidden the dead grass in the middle of the picture.
It is true! Now that I think about it, I don't ever think I've seen them swimming. Nice capture, Brett. Good detail, attractive reflection and it's nice that the water behind the bird is in shadow.
I had the same thoughts as Dave. I know exactly what you mean about location though. I agonized over the ice castle that was built in our town this past winter. They built it in a busy area of town with other buildings that didn't lend to the ice castle feel of the structure at all. I decided to pop it into a panorama. Check it out. Maybe it will give you an idea of how to showcase your barn.

I do think the colours in this image will lend themselves well to a metal print. If you have it printed, please post a photograph of the print here. I would love to see it.
I usually will say to simplify with a crop but in this photo I think the vastness is captured nicely. I like the the light is spotlighting a certain area of it. It's too bad a motorcyle or bicyclist was not moving through the scene right in the area of light .. or something that would give the scene an added subject. That would have given it that special moment.
and I think it is cut off too close to the rear of the car. If you are going to crop .. commit to the crop. If not leave enough space for the subject. When you commit to a crop you are doing it for the purpose of bringing the viewers eye to the the you want the viewer to notice.
very nice lighting. I think I would like it a little more if she had tilted her chin toward you and looked at you.
