3 versions of same picture processed in Luminar:

1. Raw develop - Boosted Clarity; added "Vivid" preset
2. Added layer - "City Rain" preset
3. Removed "City Rain"; added "Fall Day"

Any/all comments, criticisms, verbal bludgeonings, whacks to the back of the head, WTF were you thinkings, etc welcomed and appreciated

Vivid doesn’t look very vivid to me. I like Fall Day best of the three, but it and City Rain both appear overcooked to my eye.

I applied the 2 presets at 100%; probably not the best choice - a tad heavy handed. I'll try lesser applications to see how that looks. It's all trial and error until you find what works best.
Thanks for the input.

Redid the "Fall Day" at 50%; doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME!" quite so much

Vivid, Fall Day 51%

Thanks; I guess the presets work better with a lighter touch
Luminar just might speed up processing a boat lot of road trip pix
to sort the wheat from the chaff

Vivid looks like a natural photograph on my screen. The other two are way over-processed. Over-saturated. -edit- Most everything works better with a light touch. Just my opinion, but if it looks like it's been processed by some kind of software then it's over-processed. My advice is keep the processing as light as you can to get the affect you want without making it obvious that you've done any processing at all.
-hint- click (store original) before you upload your image so we can get a complete un-compressed image to see what you've done.

I think the first one is the most pleasing. I wonder if the photographer had stepped back a bit and gotten a bit lower if the green in the very foreground would have hidden the dead grass in the middle of the picture.

If I had stepped back and gotten lower, it would have been an extreme closeup of a stone wall. 😆
Thanks for looking and commenting
BTW, my wife liked that one too. Said that's how she remembers that day; she's very "literal", and the other versions aren't "true".
