That is eerie. Those clouds certainly add too the photo. It is like a photo of the biblical account of the crucifixion. Excellent take.

I would like to say, before anyone asks, it is not a composite these are the clouds the lord (pun intended) gave me.... I looked up the shutter speed, it is 1/320 not 1/200

powerful shot indeed! Something I am wondering about since I wasn't there. What is the steeple standing on? Not sure, but maybe I'd like that part of the building included. One other thing that is nagging at me is that the steeple is not flush with the frame. What if you did a perspective adjustment to correct that? At least try it and let us know what you think. The lighting is fabulous. I like the conversion to b&w. It's quite dramatic. Did you take shots from other angles?

I'll try your suggestions. This the only angle I could get, without disturbing what ever was going there, some kind of service

I'm trying to decide if the subject is the crucifix or the bells in the tower. If the intent was to show the interesting lighting on the crucifix it would have been better to shoot it alone and not include the bells. Same if the bells were to be the main subject. I like the lighting and the dramatic sky. The angle from which it shot confuses the eye. It also looks as if the tower is about to fall over to the left. A little straightening would help.

Good thoughts to be considered.

It is difficult to decide just what you are attempting to show here ? Your mechanics are good, but that is where it ends. The bells conflict with the crucifix and the lighting on both are just about the same whereby one's attention is scattered all over the place. Red bricks and concrete or painted wood framing, together, are too 1950'ish and neither deserve supporting the crucifix, especially, when considering the crucifix is mounted on the side of the brick structure causing the crucifix to stand out like a sore thumb. To conclude, it appears as though you tried to make something happen that just wasn't there..... Sorry.. Hopefully, there are no hard feelings..

I took a look with it composed as is, and looked at it it after straightening it, just to see if it helps. That helps some, IMO, but not a huge jump.

Osiris revisited, I presume. I'm not sorry, because I'm not Catholic. I am considered by some to be a dirt loving, sun worshiping, tree hugging, humanist that loves a metaphor of the psyche. The king is dead. Long live the king. Was it Elvis or Jesus? You know they kind of look the same.

JC was a fish and loaves sorta guy and possibly not into burgers, peanut butter and jello sandwiches, like Elvis. Also sermon giving in a rhinestone suit and blue suede shoes stretches the imagination too far.
The photograph - powerful image nice pp but needs straightening.

I really like the light in this photo!

If it were mine, I'd straighten it and cut out the bell structure leaving Jesus on the cross up in the midst of the turbulent clouds and looking down at Earth. A powerful image that could be saved!
