Well, there are some good and enjoyable things about walking about in the fields and woods and then there are the not so enjoyable things like chiggers, mosquitoes...and TICKS..!

This is a Lone Star Tick that I pulled off my butt cheek where it joins my leg. I got another one on my calf and found a third roaming around looking for a spot to suck on me. Lone Star Ticks are known to be quite aggressive.

This is a 8X magnification view staged for a focus stacked session. The no-good S.O.B. will spend its eternity in the alcohol with other specimens.

And, yes...my butt itches where I pulled it out.

Amazingly I found on in the same area of my body. In just three hours in the woods in southern New Jersey. They can cause a lot of grief health wise.

Why do you need more than one adapter?

The 100-600 if an f4 would be fantastic depending on cost of course. Looking forward to the new updated R series camera

Hi
With the EOS R, did you adjust the Tracking sensitivity; Accel./decel. tracking; and AF pt auto switching? These are found in the "AF" tab #3.
I'll be watching this thread as I just got EOS R. I have Tamron 150-600 G2, Tamron 70-200 G2 as well as the RF 24-70 f2.8, which is magnificent btw.

No I haven’t done those adjustments Marty. I’ve never did that in my other cameras and they wired great. 6D and 7DII. I’ve made those adjustments minimum at the start and will see how it does on my next outing. If it needs more adjustments I’ll continue till it hopefully works. I’ve just have the 24-105 RF lens as I have many L lenses. I think my first pick up will be the 15-35 RF since I do a lot of landscapes and cityscapes. Thanks for your input Marty.

While I agree with most of what has been posted in this thread and I do love the EOS R but I seem to be having a problem with my 100-400 vII while birding. It’s mainly a focusing issue while filling active birds. Trouble getting focus and maintaining it. Am I doing something wrong. No problem when using it on my 6D.

To put it simply, anywhere. It’s an extremely historical city and any place you turn is a photo op. I was there last May and found it to be a wonderful place. All the replies are great. I went for five days and found it to be to short and intended to go back but than COVID-19 happened. Be sure to take a wide angle lens of around 15-16mm. I traveled light and only took my 24-105 and 70-300. The 24mm wide end left me wanting more.

What actually Gauls me the most is most connect to a single Bluetooth speaker so all the quality and stereo separation are no more. Forget about surround sound. You’d have to spend a fortune for high quality today. I miss the old days.

This played fine on my MacBook Pro and mi iPhone. Excellent documentary and I love that you did it in b&w. I believe it gave it more impact. Well done!

A great reminder to me of a beautiful city. I was there for a week in last May. The history oozes from this historical city, a lovely vacation spot. When all this craziness in the world is over we are planning another trip to this beautiful city.

I downloaded topaz ai Sharpen and have been experimenting with it and find it absolutely worthless in my opinion. Seem to only add noise to my images. I’ll stick with photoshop and Lightroom.

I’ll play, I’ve got an old film Nikon FE-3, a Sony HX9V, Sony P-200, Sony RX-100 v3 all point and shoots. Canon 6D, Canon EOS-R and just sold my 7D II. I am only currently shooting with mainly the EOS R, the 6D and the Sony RX 100 III.
