Thanks GregoryD. I tried one of the rings you suggested. I couldn't zoom it with the ring attached. I got the ring on ebay it came from China it didn't seem like a good solution. i may not have used it right.

I have a nikkor 80-200mm that was given to me by son a few years ago. This is a great lens but it is very heavy,is there any attachment i can get when i use it on my tripod? I don't like putting the weight on my camera body. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks for any advice . The lens has a sleeve on it for zooming.

I am curious that i rarely see discussions on anyone using their dslr for videos. I have a D90 and a D600 i have yet had a desire to shoot videos, am i the only one? I bought David Busch's NIKON D600,it has a chapter on doing video. It has perked my interest. Please give me some feed back.

This picture was taken at my church one Sunday morning. We were having problems with pidgeons on our roof until this fellow showed up. I didn't have my dslr so i used my phone camera. Another good reason to always keep you camera with always.

Walk around lens means different things to different people. Some of us are not pros, some of us need a lens we can use for a general lens to keep on our camera for still having fun, with out all the tech talk.

Thanks for the invite. I am looking forward to being on the forum. I just upgraded to the Nikon D600, only had it a week it is awesome. I will keep my D90 as back up (great camera!) Finishing the NYIP course two lesson to go. It is a great course. I would recommend it.
