I think you may have solved my problem! I am so excited. I always just kept aspect ratio on the default which is 4:3. So if I choose 3:2, a 4x6 should print out exact, correct?. I can't wait to try it.

Gidgett, do you know where that option is located in PE10?

Thanks to everyone, by the way, for your responses.

I know that digital photos do not correlate with the old fashioned ratios of 4x6, 5x7 etc. I just ordered 85 photos and I'm sick of either having a bunch of white around my picture or having part of the image cropped out. In addition, whenever a put a fancy border around a picture part of it gets cropped out. Can someone help me with this. I have PE 10. Is there a way I can resize all of my photos so that they print out exactly as they look in the camera or on my computer?

Thanks so much

I was there a few years ago- on the US side there is an observation deck that extends pretty far out to get a good view of the American falls but the only way to get close to the Horseshoe Falls is to be in Canada. BTW, that observation deck gets crowded- gotta fight for some space.

I use it at work when I need to take a few pictures a week (so I have never used it for heavy duty shooting). But it is pretty cool how it wirelessly uploads the pics on to your computer within a few seconds.

I was at Churchill Downs last July and the place was nearly empty- took a lot of shots but you are a very lucky man to have seen those twin spires from the "other side"

I was just reading something last night (ironic) suggesting many different poses for couples. Google digital photography school and it should be on the first or second page of "new articles for this week". I thought it was great for a beginner.

I am just like you- I was very impressed with Photoscape (free). Then a few days ago I tried picmonkey and was very impressed (free). Tons of cool stuff with these programs to keep you busy for a while. However, I want to be able to do more so yesterday I "broke down" and bought Photoshop Elelments 10 for $70.

Hi Jim
I broke down and bought PE 10. Am I able to create photos like yours with this software?
BTW, I love the photos on your website. I even forwarded it to a friend of mine- your work is creative and beautiful.

Hey gang

I'm just a regular guy with a Lumix bridge camera who appreciates and enjoys photography. Yesterday it rained all day so I had some time to check out Picmonkey for the first time and I Love it! There are some really cool effects and very easy to use. I even took "portraits" of my daughters and let them play around with hair highlights, lip color, suntan, teeth whitening, etc.

Without spending a lot of money on an editing program, I am still spending hours trying to do an out of bounds shot. I think it is possible on GIMP- I'll give it a try later on in the week.

As you know, I do my OOB photos in Photoshop CS5. I have Gimp loaded and tried to do an OOB with minimal success and, I might add, a great deal of difficulty. If you really want to do these type photos you probably should spend the money for Photoshop Elements 10. I have seen prices as low as $59 for this excellent program.

It's funny looking at your pics- my kids have a lot of the same furniture- AC Moore- correct?

Another funny story- years ago I bought a kit similar to yours as a Christmas present for my girls. I asked at the checkout about how long it would take to build- she said "you should have it done over a long weekend!. It took 2 months- for God's sake, each shingle had to be painted and glued- needless to say it was not finished by Christmas.
