I have the a6300 and recently added the 55-200 in spite of seeing several unflattering tech reviews. Reviewing the actual photos I am pleasantly surprised with the quality. Not much price point middle ground with the longer SONY lenses. I am satisfied with the 55-250. With lenses that may have quality issues it is important to me to buy from a dealer where I can return it if the image quality is not up to snuff. Keep in mind that manufacturing tolerances allow for varying degrees of performance randomly.

They say the same thing about using Extenders too.

Ben there, done that! The firmware/in camera computer does NOT function properly unless Canon's sequence is followed. So I just do it their way! Not too difficult!!

If it is a competitive price, "It ain't over till it's over"! The last minute and especially the last ten to 15 seconds of bidding is when the action is!! Good luck on it! I have noticed during the pandemic that folks are paying too much, or equal to retail (and more) on Ebay, used or new, and things are being re-listed a lot, so watch out for the "run-up" in the last moments, don't let desire to bid cloud your judgement on your final price limit.......

Been there, done that!! Bidding frequently leaps in the last few seconds. If you haven't increased your bid you very well be outbid at the last second. DON'T sell anything till the auction ends.

Don't use a popular sleep aid! It's known to adversely affect the mind, I speak from experience and have a collection of items bought while under the influence. I now eat a turkey sandwich as a sleep aid.

The dirt may be on the bottom of the viewfinder (above the mirror). Suggest you remove the lens again, point the camera's lens mount *straight down*, and try to blow off the dust with your bulb blower, being very careful not to touch the mirror with anything. If the dirt still doesn't come off, you can *gently* clean the bottom of the viewfinder with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Be sure to dry it (gently) as well, again with cotton swabs or a lint-free lens cloth. If the thought of that makes you squeamish, you can have a camera repair shop do it for you. I've done it on my D3300 with no ill effects. The dust/dirt could instead be on the top of the viewfinder glass, in which case you should refer it to a repair shop.

After a while it works again. That sounds like an overheating issue.

Is there any chance you were inside the minimum focus distance of the lens?
Easy for me to do when shooting macro.

Been there, done that! If the menu is set to release ONLY when accurate focus is acquired this can cause one to wonder WHAT THE HECK? The difference between in/out of focus in macro can be barely perceptible to my eye through the viewfinder.

Thanks for these interesting glimpses of a place I'll never be able to visit. For the record, a babies breath is sweet (oddly enough) hence the name is appropriate.

If you are shooting insects and such that cam be easily spooked if you get close, then the 180mm macro is the way to go as you wouldn't be too close to the subject.

Your computer might be running slow because it needs to be defraged and restarted.

Or your hardware: motherboard, processor memory are getting a bit outdated.
