Use the same technique you'd use to photograph on snow or a white sandy beach and all the other advice above and you should be fine.

Have fun and bring back some photos to show us too.

If you are referring to a SanDisk SD card and if you truly mean 160 or 64 Kb (kilobytes) then that is probably just the space taken by the FAT (File Allocation Table) to keep track of the card file system. If that is the case you can reformat it - you are losing nothing.

With card in computer you can always right click on the SD Card file, then click Properties. That will give you card size, plus free and used space.

And 64 Kb is a very small size for a photo. I would just format the card if that is what you mean.

I like to use one card per day but I don't take notes. If you take notes on what you photograph or at least what you begin and end each day with, you could use 3-4 64GB cards. If you plan on loading what you take every day into a laptop, you could go with 2-3 cards but I would go at least 32-64 GB if you're going to do video clips too. You can always get more cards if you need them.

Have fun and bring back photos/videos to show us.

For my D7100, I use OEM and Bower XPDNEL15 that are 600 mAh more than OEM (2500 mAh vs 1900 mAh) and the Bowers work just as good (with longer duration) than the OEMs.

Check the aperture ring on the lens and see if it's locked. If not, that can cause that problem (on a Nikon). It won't be able to auto focus if the aperture isn't locked, I think they lock at f22 for auto focus.

I like #2, a bit soft but it stands out more. I would try and use a tripod and retake the second shot if possible.

Beautiful scene but why so grainy when opened up? ISO 400 shouldn't be that grainy.

Went to a rally recently and got some photos of the people and vehicles there as well as some of the events. Had a lot of fun doing it too ;-)

First one is a herd of campers waiting for the gates to open. Second is another photo of campers waiting. There were more RVs and camp trailers than I've seen at most dealers. They came prepared for anything. The events were quite interesting. Imagine trying to ride a motorcycle on a 40' long 8" wide plank.
