I currently have a Dell 14" laptop and would like to upgrade to one with a larger screen for viewing photos. I appreciate the group's feedback. I am not very technological so I'm not sure about all the features that are advertised and what is needed. Thanks so much.

Fellow hedgehogs,

I need some assistance with camera insurance. I currently have homeowners and vehicle insurance with State Farm and also have a separate rider policy for my camera equipment. I currently have a D850, D500 and a host of lenses insured at replacement value; however, when attempting to insure my D4s at replacement value, they are telling me that they can only replace the DSLR at the purchase price. When explaining to State Farm that the purchase price was much lower than the fair market value of the camera, they said that was what the underwriters expressed to them. I ask them what if the camera was a gift to me with no receipt.......they said they would insure the camera at fair market value. Exactly what I want for the D4s. So, would anyone have any suggestions for camera insurance companies out there?

Talk with your home insurance agent. I have my photo stuff listed on my house insurance. I had to provide photos of each piece and scans of the receipts, but if you aren't doing too much buying and selling that is not a real hardship.

My head is spinning after the first four paragraphs. Is this a question or some sort of puzzle?

Solution - go Sony. Sony's have a facial recognition setting. You program in the bride's face and give her priority #1. It will pick her out a crowd or busy scene, follow her around the room and focus on her face every time. Make Mother of the Bride #2 and groom's ex girlfriend #243 (after the dog) and you will never hear another complaint.

I shot a real quick wedding (due to Covid)....

The bride didn’t like the photos.... groom in focus with the bride out of focus.... flowers in focus and her out of focus....blurry and out of focus...people who don’t understand art ...his face cut off showing just his chin...he called me at the last minute....He liked the bokeh but she did not... he is a lawyer....

WOW - talk about a recipe for disaster!! Don't worry. The photos are headed for the trash in a couple of months - after the divorce !!!

There are several sizes. I've only posted the largest size but others are available. I expect this device to be a time-saver for me going forward.

I would be interested to see how it actually works. I can’t really tell from the photo or the description. Great idea if it does work.

There is no mirror in any of the Sony A7 series bodies. They are mirrorless. If you take off the lens and look inside you should see a shinny black rectangle which is the sensor. That is good as long as it is clean and unmarked. If there is no sensor you have a total dud and is probably not economically repairable.

No, not 'The Talk' or 'The View'. ABC's prime news show 'This Week's' Powerhouse Roundtable - all female panel and presenter.
Guys -we are being phased out.

Mine was a Voigtlander rangefinder that I got for Christmas when I was 12 years old. It had no light meter. I had to expose based on the little slip of paper that was inside the film box. I rarely had money to buy film or pay for development so I would go around ‘shooting’ with an empty camera.
