Better than being there in person! Spectacular! Also, amazing to consider the superb quality of the old lenses, obviously used on a newer Canon.

You should treasure the FE, it's one of only two Nikons that allows you to shoot 39 frames (the other being the cult camera FM 3A). If your FE is in great condition -like the one held by model- and if it has a rare serial number, it could be valuable. You ought to post a picture of it with the serial number showing.

Spectacular images! I have never before seen Monument Valley like this. It needs panoramic to capture its true nature and in your photographs we get it by double-clicking most of your downloads.
Congratulations!

Excellent essay and superb images. I am surprised to see the first statue: Antinous (Greek Antinoös) was the leader of Penelope's suitors and the first to be killed by Odysseus with a "bitter arrow" (Odyssey 22.8).

Damn! You have 4 of them. I want one! I have the F3HP but none F3/T. I really want a black F3/T. I don't care for the F3P though.

You can probably find a black one on Ebay but the ones in good condition sell for about $1000.
The F3P is rare, hold on to it!

As you know I have other 3 units of F3T snd I can match this camera with the others all seems to be identical , curtain is titanium made and I think that no one engraved with the asterisk the camera except Nikon , the extra series could be for a specific customer , do you know how many F3T have been built , I know that the normal production stars with 82 but which is the last one ?
Thanks

You probably already know that F3T is identical to the regular F3 but it has a titanium top and bottom plate for improved sealing. Your asterisk is pressed on like a tattoo and it reminds me of a rare red D before the serial number of some cameras sent to dealers as Demontration models.

All champagne-colored F3/T serial numbers start with 82. However, Nikon produced all of its black F3/T cameras starting with T8500001. I happen to own T8518541.
I fear the illustrated camera isn't an F3/T.

You are correct. I only meant to single out the 82... serials that the discussion was focused on. In addition to the 85.. you mention, Nikon used 83... for the F3AF, and 90... for the F3P. Then, there is also the F3L with 95...

The F3 was produced for a long time and with great success. You have two puzzles that Nikon will have to figure out. The asterisk may be marking a camera released to dealers first and it would be helpful to consider the serial number for this camera.

All F3 T cameras have a serial number beginning with 82... The camera starting with 170.. is a real problem as this is a regular F3 that somehow or someone added the T. It would be useful to test whether there is Titanium behind it!

The Temple of Olympian Zeus Athens was build during several centuries starting in 174 BC by Greek architects and finished by Hadrian from Syria by the and of the first century CE. It has been admired by its beautiful Corinthian columns, and it has been one of the most visited temples in Greece.

The situation with the Temple of Olympian Zeus is a little more complicated than your statement. Construction began during the time of king Peisistratos (ca. 560-527 BCE), as we we are told by Aristotle in his Politiics, most likely as a Doric building but didn't go much beyond preparing the foundations. In 174 BCE, king of Syria Antiochos Epiphanes ordered to continue work but didn't go very far. Some scholars think that that time the temple had been planned as Ionic. It was left up to the Roman Emperor Hadrian (117-138 CE), who loved architecture more than any other ruler in history and left behind the most extraordinary building legacy, to complete the temple this time as Corinthian, the most luxurious of Roman Temples. Hadrian was dedicated the temple in 130 CE during his second visit to his beloved Athens. Inside, Hadrian ordered a copy of one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world the gold and ivory statue of Zeus in Olympia by Pheidias and placed a colossal one of himself next to it. All this had been looted when Cyriacus of Ancona visited Athens in 1450 and found only 21 columns still standing.
