been to both and have pics of canyon de chelly from the rim and from the down in the canyon tour. The views from down in the canyon are much more magnificent than those from the rim...

a different point of view - changed the crop (cropped from the right to "change the angle of view" to focus more on the trees on the left where I enhanced the lighting and the texture of the tree trunks. also removed the people at the front door of the building.

Thanks for your effort, very thorough.

The little instruction pamphlet specifically addresses slave operation, i.e., S1 and S2 modes. I finally got them to fire as slaves off my Canon 580 EX/II, but results were awful. Tired of tinkering, so am returning them. Will stick w/Canon flashes.

have you tried to fire them using the tt560 on camera to trigger the tt560 'ff camera.. These are basically godox flashes with built in rf for canon/Nikon/sony etc.. is the canon flash rf? or is it optical? if it is optical the tt560 if in the line of site of the canon flash should trigger in optical mode... but the rf will actually let you use ttl

a late entry this week of this fantastic capture of a perched eagle on a tree with fallen tree in the background..did some minor editing in lightroom and some dodge and burn to isolate the eagle from the surroundings.

I've considered one of those boxed foam mattresses, but I'm afraid to waste money on something I might not like. CU gives low ratings to some very expensive mattresses. I certainly wouldn't spend over $3,000 on a mattress.

after using sleep number for many years about 5 months ago we got a Tuft and Needle mattress in a box. It is the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. The aches and pains I used to wake up with are now gone. After a couple of months we bought a second one for our guest room so our kids would share in the comfort when they come and visit....

as far as I know the CC versions of lightroom and photoshop require a 64bit processor and operating system I don't remember for sure but I'm fairly certain xp is a 32 bit system. Also you will need 8gb (higher recommended) of internal memory. So the camera upgrade may also require a computer and operating system upgrade.

I have been watching several different tutorials on Landscape Post processing trying to improve my skills. I think it is important for me to learn as well rounded photographer. The first one is my attempt and the second one is the original jpg. It is not spectacular scenery so I wanted to make the most of it. I know a lot of processing is subjective but I would still like to hear your thoughts. What would you have done differently? I have included the original jpg if you would like to work with it. As always I appreciate all that help and information you guys give me on this journey.

Hi, I suggest you take a look at some of Serge Ramelli youtube clips on editing with lightroom.. He has a very interesting technique which he calls complexifying the light (basically it is a dodge and burn type treatment that adds a lot of interest to an otherwise evenly lit or raw image that typically lack needed contrast. Look for his earlier lightroom editing most of which are fairly short and simple to grasp...
Love to hear back on what you think about it.

In my rambling around I came across this scene at a little mom and pop shop in the middle of nowhere. The "frames" were on concrete laying up against an old bench in the shade with just a small shaft of light hitting them at the top. Beside them is a large flowerpot. I was attracted to the all the texture in the scene as well as the shapes. (The frames were really cool and I should have bought them.) Working only in PS I used two texture layers to add more color and of course texture and a Levels adjustment mask to bring out more blue tones in the concrete. I tried a lighter exposure but it seemed to take away some of the depth and make it appear flat. Your comments are always appreciated.
