Hi I have the Novaform Conforte Grande 14 inch thick mattress purchased from Costco. Very little smell on opening and expanding, I slept in it 10 hours after opening it up. Have had it now for 8 months, still very comfortable and there hasn’t been any degradation. Has a twenty year warranty but I doubt it will last that long.

I think I would buy more of these type of mattresses in the future, will see in six or seven years.

Made in the USA!

Had a 14" one from Walmart, moved, just got another one and a bed frame. Found a "hotel" style, thicker on the bottom. You can rotate it, but not flip it. Seems softer on the top layer and denser on the bottom. Heavy, bet it weighs between 75 - 100 lbs. with a 1" thick mattress cover, got sheets that fit an 18" mattress. Oh, and its king size. 14". Two people an 2 small dogs fit nicely. 2 dogs, one 9 lbs and one 12 lbs, take up as much space as a person. But they're great footwarmers.

Try Consumer Reports online. They recently did a complete review of foam and conventional mattresses.
Costco carries some of these mattresses.

I got a "Mattress in a Box" about 3 years ago and I'm very happy with it.

I've considered one of those boxed foam mattresses, but I'm afraid to waste money on something I might not like. CU gives low ratings to some very expensive mattresses. I certainly wouldn't spend over $3,000 on a mattress.

hey Jerry, that's why I went with the Costco one because of their great return policy, if I didn't like it I would have thrown it on the trailer and taken it back in its expanded shape.

but turns out it is very comfortable for me.

after using sleep number for many years about 5 months ago we got a Tuft and Needle mattress in a box. It is the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. The aches and pains I used to wake up with are now gone. After a couple of months we bought a second one for our guest room so our kids would share in the comfort when they come and visit....

Purchased a full-sized Tuft&Needle bed-in-a-box mattress about a year and a half ago. For sleeping it is a vast improvement on its 20+ years old inner-spring predecessor
Made the mistake of getting a new 18 inch high platform to allow more storage under the bed: My four and one half foot tall wife now complains that she needs a step-stool to climb onto the bed

Wife and I sleep in separate bedrooms because of snoring.... but we both got a Dromma bed and both of us would not give them up.... and the same goes for my brother and his wife who own two Dromma beds also. Everyone saying they don't want to gamble on such a purchase... there is no gamble. Almost all of the companies offer a sleep trial of anywhere from 100 to 200 nights and if you don't like it they will give a full refund. They donate the bed to a charity. We did this with a Layla bed and had no problem getting the bed picked up and refunded.
