Photoshop, and get a nice holder for it. I think I'll make one tonight. on the back side, put some info such as Freelance press LLC and your name and address etc.

If you have one particular venue in mind, think about whether you've had any contact with anyone at that venue who might vouch for you. Or you may know somebody who knows somebody who can. Depending on what you're looking to shoot, this might help get you and your camera get in the door.

And just maybe, if one door gets opened for you, you can leverage it to crack open some others. Good luck.

I added to my post above.
Contact the venue you want to attend about that.
Or
I've shot a few concerts for a local magazine as a freelancer and had them get me into the venue.

OK, thank you, i will try that

it seems that if you do not have a "media pass" you can not bring in a dslr camera into a lot of venue,s. I have been looking on the web to apply for one , but, must not looking in the right place, and what about downloading a template and making one? any information would be appreciated !!

If you shoot in Auto:

Do you know why your camera choose the three exposure controls it choose? Would you have consciously choose those settings?

Do you switch to the "Sports" "Landscape" or "Portrait" settings when appropriate? Why or why not?

If you want to change your DoF, how do you do it in auto? Do you ever check your DoF while shooting?

my camera does not have an "Auto" mode"

[quote=docdish]............Using Pelican cases is like putting a "steal me" sign on it.

thats funny you say that!! i flew into seattle wash. airport last month, i am waiting for our bags to come out of the luggage carousel, when my pelican case came out , the porter literally runs over and grabs it an takes it and puts it behind a desk he is standing at.... i am about 20' from him,I went over to clam my case and asked him why he grab it, and his response was he has to pull off all bags with a lock on them, which is funny all 4 of our bags had locks on them and nobody grabbed them!!! it just felt odd!!!!

Do you have it building smart previews? In my experience that takes a lot of CPU horsepower and increases the time to import things. You can choose minimal, standard, Embedded & Sidecar for the smart previews. Minimal will take less CPU resources.

IF that's not it I'd unload the whole thing, download and re-install. If that doesn't work go to the Adobe help 'chat' line and they'll get you straightened out. I had a problem making my brushes work when using my Wacom tablet. They fixed me up in about 5 minutes after I wasted a couple of hours trying to fix it myself.

if it is pretty simple, a little instruction goes a long way

One thing that can cause odd behavior in Lightroom is the use of the GPU - check in Lightroom Preferences/performance and if it is checked, uncheck it, restart Lightroom and give the operation a try again. If the problem goes away, leave it unchecked, if not turn it back on.

will give it a try, thanks
