I stayed in an Holiday Inn this past spring in Ocean City MD the week after the air show. I had my camera and back pack with me. When I checked out a young lady from the front desk helped me as a bellman was not available. A couple of days after I got home I received a call from the hotel asking if I had left a lens. Appearently the next hotel guests in the room found a lens in the room safe and turned it in to the hotel front desk. The hotel staff was on the hunt for the person that had left the lens to return it. It restored my faith in people.

I keep my cameras and gear in a camera bag ready to go. Grab and run and have the tripods stored in back of my seat in the truck.

The 7100 is a great camera and the Costco store when I was in it had loads of 7100's sitting on plates. I would not be afraid to purchase a camera and lens package from them. They have a great return policy.

I Have and use a Df most of the time. I never used the flash or video features of my D90 or 7100. The Df is a great camera for low light. I use it for landscapes and nature photography.

This is exactly why I quite doing weddings. One of the last weddings I shot the bride and groom mothers actually got into a fight. Looking back on it now it was really cheap entertainment for the guests. I have been asked to do weddings since I quit I have been tempted once or twice but have not been willing to put up with the nonsense.

I am having a similar problem. It may be the computer I just the installed the latest up dates for windows and during the up grade the card reader in the computer will no longer read my card. The card can be read in the camera and in a different computer. I have been having problems since down loading the latest up dates from windows. I trying the card in a different computer.

Distortion, vegnetting or color cast have not been a real problem you do need to be careful how or where you use them. I will agree that they are not as good Lee filters but if the filter is used once every two years it is hard to justify dropping 150 dollars on a graduated filter.

I like Cokin filters for the graduated ND filters. You have to be a bit more careful because of scratching but for the cost and the amount of use graduated get they really are hard to beat.

Yes, 5 X 7 and 8 X 10. I do not print as much as I would like but I only have so much wall space.

I have always preferred prim lenses to zoom lens for landscapes since back in the film days. I started using them in the 70's, I feel they produce an much better image.

Just set the camera to Auto with a 24 - 70, 18 - 300, 70 - 300 which is my favorite lens or any lens that you prefer. This works to grab a quick shot.

Great idea I have been looking for something to pull behind me when walking the fields roads on the farm. I would consider raising the camera higher and put a container where the lenses is now.
