I am on my third set, first ones were behind the ear and the second set were in the ear and my new Phonak Marvels are behind the ear again. The new ones are terrific, I am sitting in the living room at the moment about 25 30 feet away from my wife and dil who are in the kitchen and can hear them very well. These are rechargeable, very nice not running out of battery and forgetting to have extras with you.

Get the best you can afford, you might even hear how loud the shutter is on your camera and howling noisy you are whilst sneaking up on your subject to photograph them. I have heard that Costco has reasonable prices but I do appreciate the service I get from my local audiologist.

I had two and sold both after clearing land to build a few houses. They (Stihl) stopped making the Farm Boss right after I sold um. Years later I could have used one of them, I was really pissed I had sold both. It was their best saw ever. I was recently told they are once again making the FB model...Humm. Wonder if it as good as the older.

Yes it is, I have one, works really well in all weather, easy to maintain and runs and runs and runs. Super happy with it.

This morning it was -19 C or just a touch colder than 0 F. It’s -13 C now. But the fireplace is burning the furnace works and the wife made a fiery hot Indian dish for dinner.

100 KM (60 miles) north of Toronto

Let’s get this COVID thing to terms and me to Florida!!!

There is another problem. As far as saftey goes it is potentially bigger than a cracked plate or the outlet to far back. The plug itself is upside down. Not sure if it is code but it is "best practice." The logic is that something falling has much less chance of shorting because round hole is the ground.

Perhaps the picture is from Canada that is the standard orientation for plugs in Canada whereas the US is the opposite, it’s not code they can go either way.

What lenses do you have for your 6D, you have to remember that a 17mm on a Canon crop sensor has the same view as a 27mm full frame lens on your 6D. If you have the Canon 24-105 that many 6D's were sold with in their kit then you already have a wider angle than your Sigma lens would give you on your 80D.

Can anyone advise if the Apple Mac computer fusion drives are reliable. Seems like a long way back I heard there were problems. I understand they are a hybrid with SDD and HDD components. Are they noticeably faster? Thanks for info regarding your experience.

Personally having two at my house, I can anecdotally say that I don't like them. The 2 TB one that had the larger ssd portion but still too small was unreliable and replaced by Apple twice. When it started to go again I had a shop remove it and replace it with a 1TB SSD. It has given my 27" iMac 2015 a new lease on life, runs very well does what I need it to do.

The second one is on our other 27" iMac with a 1TB fusion drive, it has a tiny ssd drive and bottlenecks like crazy and runs terribly slow for most applications, it has not failed but it is slow. I will be having it replaced with a 1TB SSD this spring and that should make that machine good for a couple of years as well. Cost to replace with a shop doing the work is around $500 Canadian but much less than a new iMac.

On top of that and I have always said that I like Apples because they use high quality parts the HDD portion of the 2TB fusion drive was a Seagate Barracuda (a drive that has a horrible failure reputation).

My advice for myself and for anyone that wants to listen to me is do not buy a computer with a fusion drive.

It seems that this method will show the angle of the blade itself but not in reference to the table, which is what you need. Sounds like a nice gadget, but would you please elaborate? Thanks, I am interested.

As he said you place the device on the table and no matter the reading you zero the device, then when you attach it to the blade it gives you the angle in relation to the table of the saw. Actually gives the angle of anything you attach it to to the saw.

The devices zero angle after setting is whatever the top of the table saw is.

I don't think it is a Bridge problem, I am thinking more likely how your NAS is identified on your computer.

I just installed Bridge to try it out and it could see everything on my computer and my NAS and navigated through it all.

Are you running Windows or a Mac system. I think Bob is correct in saying it is an addressing issue

If you are a Mac user, how is the NAS shown in Finder

and if you are a Windows user, how is the NAS shown in the File Explorer?

Hi Greg, I use Synology for my NAS as well, unfortunately I do not use Bridge but I do use Lightroom. It seems at times that Lightroom can't see the NAS. I have a Mac and I have to check on the NAS (mine lists as Diskstation) and once it connects then Lightroom sees it with no problem retrieves and saves to it.

I think that the Synology goes to sleep or doesn't keep the connection active. I have meant to ask my son about it and see what the solution is.

Mine is all connected by ethernet and Apple Extreme routers

will be interesting to see what others have to say

Hey Paul,

I just go through looking at many of your shots on Flickr, and although I meant what I said in a complimentary fashion (i.e. quite nice was not said in a sarcastic manner but sincerely).

However, upon further examination, I would go farther and say many of your shots are down right excellent.

Great work!

I have always thought Paul takes great pictures too!!

I searched and found your website and looked at your work, it is excellent as well. I particularly like how you have managed to accentuate the eyes in your portraiture. Even though your subjects are quite stunning, as a viewer I was drawn to their eyes in your work. Very nice!

Have a Merry Christmas

But only a 16oz. pint. We get to enjoy a full 20 fl.oz. imperial pint.

Right on John, this smaller size is all the Americans fault with their 132 oz gallon and 16 oz pint. Fortunately for us Canadian beer drinkers a pint is still the Imperial measure of 20 oz.

HAHA, our measurements here are a cross between metric, Imperial and American version of Imperial. Our restaurants have been playing a game of 14, 16, 18, and 20 oz beers as well as oversized 22 oz and then the schooner at 32 oz.

Beer cans are still around the equivalent of 12 oz (341ml) and tall boys at 473ml and then the imports from over there at 500ml.

Personally am partial to Tennents Export Lager from Scotland (500ml)

I can't wait for the world to open up again and come and visit jolly old England again!!

I remember playing that game. Some people were really good coming up with really good wrong answers. I think eventually there was a boxed version of the same game but it included incorrect definitions for the less clever players😊

We have a game that is played like that called Balderdash from the eighties, good fun and a lot of laughs.

Got to learn words that I would never have known. One of my favourites was hirsute, who knew

I completed a purchase from 02Nomad of some of his Canon gear. The gear was as he described-like new. He shipped promptly and kept in touch with me until the gear arrived and I had a chance to test it. I would buy from him again if the occasion came.

That is very nice to take the time to comment on your transaction. Speaks volumes about both you and the seller. I’m happy whenever I read these posts.

yep I saw that after I posted, I have the snorkel versions which don't filter anything and that was what I was referring too, these with the filters would be quite impressive, especially for wood shops
