Since we got to Munich on September 20 there have been few days without switch backs. This trip through Germany, Austria and Italy has been a hunt for mountain hikes, gorges with water, water falls, and small hilltop towns. Many times I am looking out the side windows to make the turn. Driving up the hill to this city Man, I hope that warning was in English. First look at this I thought there was something wrong. Then I read your text..... the switch backs required full range on the steering wheel. Some days my average speed was less than 40 km per hour. Many turns are blind and some times there is a big truck coming the other direction. Once I and the 3 cars behind me had to back up to let the truck with trailer using all the road to make the turn. I have slammed on the brakes more than once entering the curve to find a truck or bus on my side of the road.
Making things more difficult are the the bicyclists. Roads through towns can suddenly go down to one lane.
We saw one sign with instructions for a long bicycle ride over very rough trails and roads that stated " this path is dangerous you are sharing the narrow twisty road with cars and trucks. If you are injured you cannot sue."

I have not uploaded todays photos. Most of the days, we eat the evening meal after 7:00. It is after 9 pm as I write this and we are finalizing tomorrows drive.
