wow! That is great. That is what I wanted to achieve. Was this photoshop CC or CS2?

I used CC but this can be done with CS2 using the cone tool.

Content Aware in CC is great to try for this. Send me the pic of you want and ill try it for you. CC vs. CS2. For me CC is so worth it for camera raw(ACR), dehaze and lens correction alone.

This could go on for half a dozen pages.

I tried BBF and quit. Then I went back to it. Using BBF lets you focus on the spot you want and reframe. It also guarantees that the focus won't change when you press the shutter button. I just give me a little more control.

I need to go back myself. I Gave up on it for birds and forgot about it.

Tamron or Sigma 70-200 2.8? I have an Sigma 18-35 1.8 which I really like and was all set to purchase their 70-200. I'm reading more and more about that particular Sigma lense front or back focusing, yet others are very pleased. Haven't seen very many complaints on the Tamron. Any thoughts or experience please..!!! Thanks in advance.

I would get this one it is beyond fantastic, professional and has a better resale value.

What is the best lens to use on the beach, or a rooftop, for an East Coast ocean sunrise?

IMO the lens that lets you include other elements in the photo (waves, a great sky, driftwood, rocks, a pier). Otherwise a sunrise or sunset in nothing more than just that.

In July my husband and I will be taking a Coral Princess cruise to Alaska. Our stops include Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. What excursions should we sign up for to get some great photos in any of these places?
Thanks in advance for your help.

My experience with cruising is to bring a small camera. I've gotten good pictures, didn't annoy my wife with excess gear, and I enjoyed the cruises.

Good advice. Sony RX100 and enjoy.

At the end of a shoot I've been trying to get into the habit of dialing in Auto. The idea is to have it available in the event of encountering something that I may only have a couple of seconds to record. That's the only circumstance in which I'd use Auto, but I've been in those situations a number of times and missed shots because I was trying to fumble with settings.

Superb idea for someone like me having three grandsons. My d7000 is always left on auto and keep an sb700 flash in the case. My d800e doesn't have auto.

Why wouldn't you shoot auto.... Unless of course you are shooting landscapes, macro, an air show, portraits, wildlife, anything on a tripod..... But if it means getting the shot then why wouldn't you.

Considering upgrading to the 7200 from the 7000. Primary use is high school age baseball. Thoughts on if its worth the upgrade.

Funny how many will talk about one camera vs. another...what about the lens????

Last mouth I had a auction house sell off some cameras for me. A few days later I check their web site to see what my cameras sold for. Ok, the market for cameras is down.I can live with that. Yesterday I call the auction house about something, off hand the person I was talking to, said one of my cameras had been return. What? Person said that the camera had been sold and buyer had taking it home and return with the said that the camera did not work. Auction house gave back to the buyer his money. Before I took the camera to the auction house I check every thing on the camera and camera was fine. I have been going to auctions for 20+ years this is the first time I have hear of this. The buyer was at the auction that day, so it was not any question about the buyer not being at the auction. I having the camera shipped back to me. Was something done to the camera? Until I get the camera back, I have no idea. Has this happen to anyone beside me?

It can be that the buyer did not know how to get it to work.
