It is a nice place to live and there is alot to do here year round.glad you had a nice visit.You have the Mountains,the desert,and the ocean all within a short distance. come and visit anytime.

Monument Vally is high desert and has some amazing rock formations and lots of red rock and dirt. you should get some great pictures. If you have the time go on one of the tours with the Navaho guides in there open trucks. Lots of dust protect your gear.
I have a chevy van with 397,000 miles on it never got that with any Ford I ever owned.

it is 8 hours to yosemite from San Diego I used to go every year. I was sitting here thinking how long it has been since I was there last. I was suposed to go this weekend and do some whitewater rafting but my friend waited to long to comit to the trip. was going to raft the Tuolumne river for 3 days and then spend 2 or 3 days in Yosemite then hit Bodie on the way home. Now I think ILL go at the end of SEpt. by myself.
check out the mob museum it is located in the old post office building. you can spend a couple of hours there.
before you make your trip to San Diego go to the book store and see if they have a book called Photosecrets San Diego by Andrew Hudson this book will tell you everything you need to know about taking pictures in S.D,it costs 18.00. it tells you where to go and even tells you how to shoot the pictures.it includes maps ,history,directions everything.its a great book.

if you like old cars go to reno nev. for Hot Augest Nights ther are over 5000 cars of every make and model. I think it is the largest car show on the west coast. It is a car buffs dream.
