I always recommend formatting cards in the camera as opposed to the computer.
I believe it will be fine if you try a blower or even get it professionally cleaned at your local camera store. During promotions from a show or Expo free cleaning is offered on first come.
Did you check out buying it used from BH Photo, Adorama or KEH?

I decided last night at a Photo Excursion to scrap the idea of purchasing a RRS tripod after the bushings fell out while adjusting the height. Has any one experienced this?
I am still watching and waiting for replies on a Gitzo make and model with an Arc-Swiss Head. I might consider a Head from RRS.

My understanding of cropping is a full sensor goes back to shooting film days (“What’s That!”) replicating the 35mm film.

I narrowed it down to two Tripod Brands. Gitzo and RRS
To answer all your questions. around $1,000 including head, twist turn.
I am leaning more towards RRS because I believe quality is going down with MacGroup!
I intend to use long and heavy lenses.
So any recommendations models on both brands including a head.
