However, I recognize that achievement and personality/ethics are not the same thing. For example, Thomas Edison publicly executed animals to 'prove' that Tesla's AC currents were dangerous. Ethically awful, but would the Earth be the same without Edison? JFK: serial womanizer, winning the 1960 e******n by extremely dirty politics associated with JBJ in TX and the mob in Illinois. Would a winning Nixon campaign in 1960 have been better for the US?
MLK was a deeply flawed man behind closed doors, but who can YOU say did more for civil rights?
The historical accomplishments, be they inhumanly positive or be they colossally negative are where history judges a person, not on the minutiae of day-to-day personality or morning Tweets.
I happen to believe that the division today is not better or worse than the division of 2012. The difference is that conservative rarely opened up with their criticism of Obama policy for fear of being called r****t, even though the policy has nothing to do with the melanin content. Today, though, the average Trump critic can't enunciate a real critique of policy, but gladly engages in character assassination, even calling the guy who installed most effective minority employment economy in HISTORY a r****t.
The left are rallying around senseless and evil policy and will NEVER get my v**e:
1) k**l the US economy over c*****e c****e, when doing so does ZERO to address the growing emissions in China, India, etc
2) K**l babies later in the term, and make other people pay for it
3) Because someone no longer living once was a s***e to someone else not living, everyone who resembles the s***e in terms of melanin is owed money from those who look like the owner.... even if the former or the latter or both had no US family until last week
4) Abolish the systems that kept a nation of up to FIFTY states united.
5) Expand the cost, debt, and reach of Federal government while
6) Removing individual rights (speech, and guns first) from individuals
7) Unregulated borders
Each of these changes can and will erase the nation I love and cripple my daughter's future, both economically, and culturally, but moreover, liberty-wise. I'll pass, thanks.
