Ft. Dix for Basic and radio school (05B), August thru Nov. 1968, then on to Ft. Gordon for radio-teletype (05C) til late February. Home for some leave and on to Vietnam in March 1969. 2nd Bn, 16th Inf, Big Red One til March 1970.

"Welcome Home" to all my brother Vietnam vets on UHH.

The softness of the focus causes me to wonder if this wasn't the result of cropping a larger image, coupled with a slow shutter speed and wide aperture, reducing the depth of field.

I thought it depicted the theme artistically, and was a very compelling image.

Perhaps a few steps to the right, and shooting from a slightly lower position would eliminate the foliage entirely without altering the composition too much.

It's a nice pix, and don't sell your "steadiness" short. You did very well. Surprised there's little/no blurring of silhouetted people in the picture.

Nice shot, Cotondog. Are those curtains still hanging in the upper window?
