I have a Canon with an 18-200 zoom that is probably in 2 LB range and I really like OP/TECH USA Pro Loop Strap. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017U7T6A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I t is only $21. I like it because I also have a Sigma 150-600 big lens and you can get loops with buckles that the strap can disconnect from the camera and change to the lens with the same strap. It is very comfortable and easy to switch. Good luck

I have used the Canon sx700hs for some time and really like it. It gives you ability for the control you want with many features. I think it has been updated with the sx730 that has a little longer zoom.

Certain robo calls come through anyway. I still get calls from the Dr. office and you would probably get emergency alert calls also, but many of those come though you cell phone. Hope this helps.

I also use nomorobo.com and it works by transferring the call after one ring. I recently had to get a new phone and one of the setting allows you to not hear the first ring. Now if it rings and somehow is a caller i don't want there is also a call blocker button that stores the number and blocks it also so now those 10+ number a day don't make it to me.

I went to the Galapagos 3 years ago and loved it. Do bring a long lens because there are birds and Tortus that could be a ways away and you are not suppose to approach them so to get up close and photo their faces a long lens will be nice. You will love it.

Hi, I have been with the site for a month or so. My dad was always taking pictures of the family and vacation so I probably got my love for photography from him. I got an Olympus camera for graduation in the early 70's and won honorable mention in a Life Magazine contest. I advance to a Minolta SRT 101 for the next 15-20 years but got tired of carrying the weight so I went to small point and shoot cameras. I always go the best quality I could find and they worked for me for a long time. I then went to bridge cameras and really liked them and also carried the small pocket camera. I still like bridge cameras but I have come back to DSLR. I recently got a Canon 77D and use a Canon 18-200 and Sigma 150-600C because I really like wildlife. I also have a Canon 100 IS L and the Nifty 50. This is why I say I made the full round trip. I am learning quite a lot from all the input from everyone.

This is suppose to be in the Introduce yourself section. I'm still learning to navigate around here :)

Might be kind of dumb question, but how do you get a black background? Is it post processing? Nice pictures.

I actually have a prescription that the cruise ship suggested and recommended so I am good to go. My wife and I don't usually get motion sickness, but better safe that sorry.

Woudn't the air in the bag be a good thing to slow the temperature change slower? Thanks for your suggestions...they are good and welcomed

Thanks, I guess I might not have been clear. I had already been up in Alaska to shoot the Northern Lights. This trip will be scenery and wild life.

In November I am going to go to the Antarctic. Can anyone tell me if I will have a problem with my lenses clouding up do to temperature change when going from inside to outside (where temperature could be still below 0). If there will be a problem can you give some suggestions to help. Seems like when I went to shoot the Northern Lights I had a little problem but a ziploc bag help to be an insulation help. I will be useing a Canon 77D with a Sigma 150-600mm lens and a Canon 18-200mm.
Thanks

I also like and have the sx50 and it does a great job. Some really downplay the quality you can get from a bridge camera, but being light and a zoom that goes up to 1200mm with great IS you get very good hand held shots at all ranges. They have a newer on that has a little more zoom but there are a few downfalls with it. Reviews say it is worth the downfalls to get some of the other features. I would look for another SX50. I tested Canon against Nikon and I thought the Canon had better color. Good luck
