I bought an all-in-one computer (no tower, and you can put away the keyboard and mouse so they don’t need to be out) which runs photos as a screen saver. I can also run individual folders as slideshows. For example for my granddaughters graduation I ran the folder with pictures of her from birth to graduation, interspersed with “congratulations”.
The advantage of a computer is larger size than most e-frames, and ease of changing the show. Sometimes I run old family photos, and other times I have only wildlife. Or I can run everything. When I have company I run photos I think they will like. Sometimes I run a slide show of pictures that I’m trying to decide what post processing is needed.
One possible drawback to a display is that it distracts people from the conversation and they interrupt to ask questions. Make sure the photos are up long enough for others to turn and look to see what photo they asked about or commented on. I find that 15 seconds is good for “background” pictures. In our retirement community we found that running a slide show on a projection screen at receptions encouraged older, more frail people to stay longer and interact more because it provided something to talk about.

I like the second one. At first it seemed like palm trees. Did you lay down on the wet grass to get it, or do you have an articulated screen?

What a great idea! I’ll have to work on that.

Phones are going to win the battle because they are there more often. The best camera is the one you have with you.
That doesn’t mean more complex cameras will die completely; because some people will enjoy the challenge of manual settings and different lenses.

Put your print-ready files (JPG or TIF) on a thumb drive or SD card, take them to Costco (or Office depot or Walgreen's or most FedEx stores) and say "please print these."

You can do it on the Internet and then go pick them up or have them deliver. No need to take them to the store on a drive. The website will tell you if the resolution is too low for the size you want. You can choose between “as is” or their (computer’s) judgement of what will look best

Our area is unique. Most of the land is in fairly small (less than 50 acres each) properties, which means it is hard for nefarious people to be Unobserved ,and most of the land is owned by Quakers, Quaker organizations, state or regional parks (and we have a police horse stable in one of the parks). This area is zoned “rural” but the county is mainly suburban, with a high level of environmentalism. All are factors that protect wildlife. Actually DNR has to cull the deer population every few years.

Every year we have Orioles that spend time at our Hummingbird feeders until it's time to head back someplace warmer for the winter. They are difficult to photo because they move as soon as they sense anyone is looking at them.

I got these through the kitchen window and realize it's time for some window cleaning.

I may have to set up the camera (7D with 150-600 Tamron lens on a tripod) outside and use the remote shutter release. The aim would be chancy, but the images might be sharper if there are any keepers.

You might try a motion detector (trail) camera. Set it to video and you can enjoy the movement as well as the appearance

The warnings are required. I've bought products that had an entire booklet devoted to safety alone.

As for the writing, I could never understand why foreign countries can't write in proper English

For 20 years I supervised well-educated Americans who were writing reports and brochures. It was amazing to me how poorly our schools and universities teach English writing skills. I do not find it surprising that people writing in a non-native language have problems. English is a mix of many languages. It is more complex than most. While it is richer and can convey subtle ideas well, it is hard to learn all the exceptions to the rules of spelling, grammar and synonyms, etc.
While I understand your desire for a hard copy, I enjoy having electronic manuals that I can access from my phone when I am away from home. And I don’t mind saving a tree.

Very active. Game trails in 2 directions meet in my backyard. Rural area, but no hunting so the animals are comfortable with people. This is a retirement community and some of the residents who don’t get out much enjoy seeing the videos. That s the man reason I have that camera. My main camera is a Niko. D5600 I use for still photos.

I was hoping that other trail cam afficiondos would post some pics (at least one) from their trail cameras, I am curious as to results from the step up from my little cheapie Wingscapes 8mp. My shot was in shadows, with minor deer movement, is the resulting shot OK, crap, so so, ?? It won't hurt my feelings if it is deemed crap or otherwise, I bought the cam from B&H on their Daily Deal thing, and I paid $24.99 delivered, was surprised it worked. Already had the NIMH batteries, and an old 8GB card, I've been happy with it for what it is/what I paid.

I am not sure, how reliable the information from the manufacturer is, but my Moultrie A-30i trail camera camera might have 12 megapixel sensor, 60 ft flash range and 0.7 trigger speed.
My Browning Dark ops Pro XD trail camera might have 24 megapixel sensor, 80ft invisible flash range, 0.15 trigger speeed and also has dual lenses.

Although this information I used for purchasing both cameras I do not know, how reliable specs they provide?

There may be a spec chart buried in your users manual that gives sensor data. The problem is that almost always they interpolate pixels, rather than actually having better sensors. Then advertising and box can give a bigger number than what is actual.
The videos look ok on a screen until you try to zoom in. And still photos don’t have enough data to be post processed to be sharp when printed and can’t be cropped. I wish there was an inexpensive way to have a camera of the quality we use manually to be set up for motion detection. Even smart phones have better cameras.
So much that is interesting happens at night or when the animals don’t get spooked by humans! And they come up close. I have videos of deer and raccoons sniffing the camera. And a wonderful video of a doe nursing her fawn. But with low resolution I can’t make prints.

I use Moultrie A-30i that i found also less desirable for movies at night.
Another, much better camera I own is Browning Dark Ops proXD.
The night movies are pretty good.
Rechargeable batteries are necessary for both cameras.

What is the resolution?

.do want better night vision. Good daylight shots but night time and low range are hindering results. I have not tried video yet, need to give a go!

I find video gives better results. The eye is distracted by the motion and doesn’t notice the low resolution as much. Plus it’s interesting to see the action. I get better results at night since I covered up part of the IR flash with tape. It was washing things out. I have a game trail in my backyard so I get lots of action.
