Affinity Photo is cheaper than PSE, and is a full blown editor just like PSE, and just as easy (or hard) to use. It's stand alone software, and unlike PSE, upgrades are free. It's got to be one of the best deals out there, other than free stuff, like Gimp. The good thing about full blown editors is that you can't outgrow them. Even if you choose not to learn all the features, you can if /when you want to. Other than that, if you really want a good editor for cheap, that is somewhat limited in scope, get and learn to use FastStone, it is not FULL featured, but does a lot, and is totally free.

I needed a back-up battery for my Nikon Coolpix A1000. Nikon's EN-EL12 battery has been on backorder for months and Nikon can't provide any information as to when they will be back in stock. In desperation I ordered an Everyready battery but that wouldn't take a charge. Based on favorable comments from Hoggers, I then ordered a Wasabi. After fully charging it, I took it for a test drive. After just 48 snaps, it was completely discharged. B&H carries two other brands: Jupio and Watson. Adaroma carries Green Extreme and Power 2000, as well as Jupio. Does anyone have any experience with any of these?

Sounds like your CP filter is stuck. You may buy/try a filter wrench, though I never found them to be very effective. If you can’t pry the filter off, consider taking it to your local camera store for assistance.
Not sure what type of filters you bought, but supposedly brass filters are less likely to get stuck - something to consider after you fix your problem.
I also use a UV filter on all of my lenses for protection. However I attach additional filters (CP or ND) to the UV, not to the lens. The UV stays on 24/7.

I've got a slight problem. l own a Canon 5d mkii and I'm having problems with the focusing and using AV in a lower light condition. I get a no focus confirmation light when I try to take a photo. It just flashes. I was thinking of taking it to a camera sales place in Austin, but it's kind of old and I don't think it is worth the money I would have to put out to fix it, even if they could. I called Precision Camera and they said they didn't have some parts for it. I found a 5d mk 4 on Craigslist for $800(which I know is ridiculous, plus I don't trust Craigslist) but I can't afford the price of a new camera. I found an 80d kind of in my price range but I'm not sure about the swing out display. I guess what I need is a little help on what to purchase. I'm kind of on a limited budget (but my son says if I don't spend my money, he will, but I tell him I don't not really want to live with him if I spent my savings). Please help!

I have never purchased a tripod. I visited a number of manufacturers websites to familiarize myself with carbon fiber tripods & that was overwhelming. I’ve been reading the many posts on UHH about purchasing tripods, especially those about using Ebay. Somehow, my wife ended up with $125 worth of Ebay gift cards. So I went to Ebay and searched carbon fiber tripods and there were over 1, 300 items. I’m asking any UHH folks that can help me. I’d like to purchase a carbon fiber tripod & mount, if it’s even possible, for around $400 or less. I have a Canon T7i. The heaviest lens I have weighs just over 2 pounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
