You didn't mention which camera. As far as wides, Rokinon has FFs in 14 f/2.8 (115deg) and a 20 f/1.8 (94deg). Good reviews on B&H. Low priced. Personally, I would go with the 20.
Very nice images. Composition is really good. For the most part, I like the processing you did on them. For me, they are a little dark though, and I would have opened them up a little more, but thats me. I wasn't there to see the actual scene as you were, and I am sure you processed them as you saw them, or how you wanted them to look.
Photography is all about individual taste, and each person has their own vision and ideas on what looks good. They are really very nice photos.

Is the new 55-300mm Pentax HD PLM lens worth the increased cost over the Pentax 55-300mm HD lens? Also, If i am looking for a good wide angle lens for photos of the stars, please provide any suggestions.
I like this shot a lot. I attempted to catch the milky way this past week but failed to get a good shot. I don't think I had a good lens to capture it. You did an amazing job getting the colors from the milky way. Thanks for posting.
