A new fan is on order. Maybe we can remember how it all goes back together

I have the Canon 10-22 and just love it. Plenty wide, tack sharp with deep color and contrast.

I am thinking these are over processed approaching hyper-real. Should I tone them down a bit ? Any thoughts?

The moon is really bright against the black sky. Too much light. Try the lowest ISO, fast shutter but open aperture for clarity.

Check the white balance setting it. My Canon has a color balance setting and when I first got it it was set way to blue.

On the discussion side of this forum there is a post about the upcoming moon shot opportunity. I heard about this on the radio today and pointed my SX20IS towards the heavens.

Kind of like a computer, pretty hard to mess it up. When I first got my DSLR I read the manual cover to cover and understood very little. I then looked at one page, did everything on the camera on that one page, then the next. It's been a few years and I am still learning. Good luck and enjoy!

I heard that on the radio as well and have thinking about the best view around town with good foreground for photos. I am sure we will see lots of amazing shots.

I like the second one. Personally I would have taken a few steps closer so the black hose on the left was huge and filled most of the left frame. the colors are great.

A focus test you can use to adjust your diopter http://photo.net/learn/focustest/
I did this test (I think correctly) and found my 50mm 1.8 is sharpest just behind the focus point and the 100mm 2.8 is sharpest just in front. Manual focus with my bad eyes was terrible. Thanks for posting the link.

How do you like your Hero? I ordered one for my son for his birthday.
I love it... Great fun. I use it mostly on my bicycle or my forehead when my kid's friends are around ha ha.

proud of what the second picture says about the first

If I'm reading the second picture right....39 mph on two wheels is real darn fast!

I did it once on a tandem recumbent. My sister was the stoker (rear) and screaming the whole time. LOL
Recumbents look like fun maybe I will get one when my back finally give out.
