Another great , gone before their time.

In 1988, Roy Orbison died from a cardiac arrest in Madison, Tennessee. He was 52

My favorite all time vocalist. If he'd have been blessed with looks like Elvis, we'd be calling him the king. I watch "The Voice" and American Idol and you don't see many contestants cover Orbison songs because the range is too much for most singers.

Reminds me of the old saying used by sled dog owners in Alaska, "If you're not the lead dog, the view never changes."

Dennis, you should have three dots arranged horizontally in the upper righthand corner of your monitor, click on them and you will have an opportunity to zoom in on whatever is on your screen. I zoomed to 200% and saw the coyote very well.

Beautiful images. I always wonder why they didn't name them leopard lilies instead of tiger lilies. They have spots not stripes.

I've taken several great shots over the years because my wife of 55 wonderful years has brought it to my attention. Nothing like a second set of eyes for a photographer. Thanks for sharing a gorgeous sunset.

I find it interesting that cordless tools cost more than the corded versions. With hand tools, there is an electric motor, either 120v or 18v. With lawnmowers, the internal combustion engine is replaced with an electric motor. I wonder if they're charging for the convenience, or if there is a legitimate reason for the price difference.

Greenway plug-in mower - $119; battery version - $279
DeWalt 7 1/2" circular saw plug-in - $116 with tool bag; battery version $168

I have a battery powered lawn mower I've had for five years. It cost more than a gas powered mower, but at today's gas prices, I've saved a lot on gas and oil, and keep it in the garage without the need to store flammable fuel in my attached garage. I'll never buy anything else from now on.

Gotta say, when enlarged, looks like he is giving you "the bird"!

Loved them both, but especially number 1, the bird, the sky, the fence, wow! Tells a story.

I actually like the background in the upper left hand corner, it adds interest and nostalgia. However, the background in the upper righthand corner makes it hard to discern where the engine ends and the background starts, so I would eliminate the upper right and keep the upper left.

A priest a minister and a rabbit walk up to the bar. The bartender looks at the rabbit and says "what'll you have?" The rabbit answers, "Nothing, I'm only here because of spell check."

That’s great if you don’t need to use your hand for anything else. Often my hikes involve trekking poles so this wouldn’t work. Just wearing my regular Peak Designs Slide strap cross body works well.

Everyone has different needs, I just gave him another idea, which is what he asked for. I use my monopod as a walking aid in my left hand and carry the camera in my right. The only time I don't use it is with my 100 - 400 lens, a bit too much weight, then I attach the lens to the monopod and have it handy and ready to shoot.

It was $16.95 and worth every penny.
