Rent a car and go where no man has gone before. That puts you in control.
Wife and I did Alaska in 2015. One land item was a bus trip (images below) using "Denali Backcountry Adventure" to the innards of Denali. It was a 12-hour round trip. The bus trip was scary as hell with narrow roads overlooking many 500-1000 foot drops (ie. at times, the bus's tires would only be 2 or 3 feet from the edge of the road...and past that would be a drop over the cliff to below). If one vehicle met another going opposite direction, and the road was too narrow to accommodate both, there was a protocol that one of the two would have to backup to a wider section of road. Nevertheless, we were consoled that the bus driver had made the trip many hundreds of times over the past 20 years. To get past a certain point in the road to Denali in a private or rental car, you have to get permission, and register your trip. So renting a car to Denali is the last thing we would have done.

It is likely that most UHHers have seen a $2 bill? You may well have wondered if it's funny money. It's not. The $2 bill has been printed by the U.S. Treasury almost continuously since the Civil War, and there are still 1.4 billion of them in circulation. The last series of $2 bills was printed in 2017.
• The $10,000 bill was the largest denomination ever to be printed for public circulation in the U.S.
• A collector cannot legally hold a $100,000 bill. What to govt. would do if you have one is unknown.
• Today, a $500 or $1,000 bill may be worth more than its face value as a collector's item.
These 6 U.S. currency are no longer printed.

Yup. She sure blasted the lies, the policies, and the mental and physical decline of your President Biden.
While maybe not VP material yet, she IMO has a place in Trump's cabinet.
Really, the quote of the day should be from Biden's SOTU speech last night. It's the one and only thing the he got right in his speech...calling them "i*****l a***ns" which they are.
Rights advocates (read LEFT DEMOCRATS) have slammed United States President Joe Biden for referring to an undocumented immigrant as “an illegal” during his State of the Union address, accusing him of echoing the dehumanizing rhetoric of his predecessor Donald Trump.
During Thursday’s speech at the US Capitol, Biden was heckled by Republicans over the k*****g of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old woman who was murdered by an undocumented immigrant (err-ahhh - I*****l A***n).
In panel #3, I, like many others, checked ... and indeed the numbers on a phone and calculator ARE reversed. Never though about that in past, but now I (we) are enlightened!
In looking at the above 5 pictures, it seems that Obama had whiter teeth than Bush.
Average life of a Major League Baseball = 7 pitches. Wow! Nowadays, if a baseball even hits the dirt during a pitch, they discard it. I prefer the days of old (like 1950s) when a baseball would stay in use almost forever, unless, of course, it was a home-run or a foul into the stands.

You don't see this stuff from the NBA....
The NHL is also trying to get into the same mold. A few weeks back, the Dallas Stars invited a player from one of the youth leagues to be present in uniform at American Airlines center. My 6-year-old grandson got to be in the bowels of the arena for fist-bumps with all the Dallas Stars as they were coming onto the ice. He also got to be standing in line with the Stars during the national anthem.

I had gone to a concert with my Canon EOS Rebel 2000. I mistakenly believed the security would allow it since it was a film camera. NOPE! I had to jump off the line, run back to my car, place my camera in the trunk and run back to wait on line again.
Yup. Last time we went to the Dallas Cowboys game was over a decade ago (sorry Jerry Jones, too commercialized, too expensive, and I'll never go again), and even then big cameras were not allowed. And parking was so bad, most had to park anywhere from 1/2 - 1 mile away. Going back to one's car gets you a lot of exercise, and a lot of wasted time.
You might also try buying an M.2 SSD and an external enclosure. I have a Samsung 2TB SSD installed in a Sabrent enclosure.

We landed a Cessna on a small town runway against a strong cross wind a few years back. I'd swear the plane landed at about 45° to the runway; probably closer to 20-30° but still a little scary!

I was a private pilot in Piper Cherokee about 46 years ago. Forgotten much, but remember some. As I recall, when doing a cross wind landing, you come in on final with the plane aimed and angled towards the wind so the plane is aligned with the runway. Then at the last moment before touchdown, you'd straighten the plane to the runway. Is this still the correct procedure?
My nephew, James Ellwanger, is a freshman starting pitcher for the DBU Patriots. DBU is the Dallas Baptist University, which historically has been a baseball powerhouse in the ranks of college baseball.
On Feb. 25, 2024, DBU played the Central Michigan Chippewas. James allowed no runs, gave up 1 hit and struck out 8 during his 5 innings on the mound. His pitch speed is in the upper 90s, and maxed out to 99 mph…this along with several off-speed pitches, like curve, slider, change-up, to make hitting against him kinda a challenge.
The game was called after 7 innings due to the 10 run mercy rule, as DBU was ahead by at least 10.
His family lives in the Houston area, and have high hopes for MLB. College students are eligible for the MLB draft after their sophomore year.

If Newsom does get the nomination, his campaign slogan will be:
