Some good advice. There will always be another wedding, but not your Daughter's. Try taking some shots. I started weddings with a Canon F1 and 85mm lens. Best of luck!

I have used this app for a year and it does a good job. Just be carefull of jpeg and raw files, and slighty differeent variations, hencw I reviewed each match to make sure they are "duplicates". Note I do not do a good job of storing my pictures.

There was an older adage, put your $ in optics.
I am sure it holds today, in my opinion.

You can get a 70-300L IS in excellent used condition for $800. This may seem high but you get soo many keepers.

Consider the 75-300L IS, a fine lens. Although focal length will be greater on the 7D Mk 2, but the high fps will give you a great setup for Birds.

I have always used the small battery pockets that you can attach to neckstrap. The battery covers stay put and are easy to access.

Stay Keep you gear away from the street side. And use a pistol. They always scour the streetside for people draping a camera. These are street thugs that Italian police ignore. Sorry to say be careful in all western Europe save Ireland. I know I have tangled with these creeps, don't do it. Be careful and mindful of small motorcyclist and moped drivers. Visit the US where ther is some order left. Don't think you can tangle with these thieves!

What I did to get around this problem, I cut a 45 degee slot in lens hood. Put a thin wire wrap with a small screw placed. I assembled a small wood handle to screw aaaaaaand am able to turn polarizer with hood intack. I suggested this to Canon years ago, and they finally put it into the 100-400 zoom with no acknowlegement or credit.

I have used Domke's for years. They are soft sided but wit the inserts you can usually stuff them anywhere. Many flights to Eastern and Western Europe without a problem.
