I recently purchased this camera. Would like to know the best lens for a baby shower. It will be indoors with good lighting. I ideally want to take group shots as well as individuals. What's my best bet for a lens that does both?

Let me know which tripod you buy. I've got the same camera - Sony a6000, and after being used to a heavy DSLR I'm afraid of dropping this little guy. Nevertheless I'm loving the camera, it's a real beauty!

Here's another question about 2 lenses, both Canon, both with rebates. The first is the pancake lens - Prime 40mm f/2.8 - f/22; the other is Ef-S 10- 18mm f/4.5 - 5.6 IS STM. Are they any good and how do the differ from the 50mm and 10 - 24 f/3.5 - 4.5??
