I wasn't a huge fan of CB until one fateful day when I had the most delicious Rueben sandwich, on the other hand in Wisconsin we like to make a big pot of boiled dinner, ham, potatoes, carrots rutabega and cabbage, should have made that for dinner tonight, its great in the winter although we are having record warm temps here.
once you have them on an external drive, if you delete them off the computer, then you have only one backup and if it is lost or fails they are gone, so back up on two drives, they are cheap compared to losing memories
thanks for sharing , outstanding images.
I bought one and then after losing whats left of my hair trying to use it I bought a 430exII you get what you pay for, if you think that you will be using flash more than once in a great while and want it to work when you do spend the money and buy a matching flash. Why go cheap when your toting around a DSLR and expensive glass. Learn from my mistake, and don't make the same one.
Wow I've never seen that much power together in one yard, I'm lucky if I get 3-4 engines in the yard at once in Green Bay
ever think about giving the lens a test drive before you buy? There a a couple agencys that rent lenses and a hundred dollar rental is easier to swallow than a major investment that you'd never be satisfied with.
I'm patiently waiting on the sidelines for this, hope we get some responses, this most likely will be my next purchase.
have an old car or truck for a background, railroad bed, graffitti on a train car , depends on where in the UP you are old mine or equipment, even the taconite docks in Marquette would be a great background.
Kind of nerve racking until its done isn't it, I watched a ton of videos to get past the fear, then "here goes nothing".
2 days and counting for me till I'll be seeing the Saw Palmettos and the water mains above the surface, thanks for getting me more excited for my vacation Ian, and thanks for sharing with the rest of the folks, I'll make sure to post some from Florida as soon as I can.
Thanks for posting Photo Guy, always wondered what would happen if it hit a metal building, now I'll just hope I'm not in the metal building when it happens.
I wonder where you got this from? I have a 70-200 2.8 and the 1.4 teleconverter and it works quite nicely together. I managed some of the best moon shots that I have ever taken. So I believe you are mistaken.

Sorry to tell you but you can't use a Canon 1.4 or a 2X converter on the 70-200mm f/2.8 or f/4 lens. It won't fit. If you use a Sigma SP converter, it will fit but you won't be happy with the results.
The Canon 100-400mm lens or the Sigma 150-500mm lens or the Sigma 50-500 lens is the way to go inexpensively in my opinion. As to the fact that they are not fast, you are correct. After all, camera equipment is a compromise. You don't get fast and cheap and sharp in one lens. Pick any two you want. let me say that they are fast enough to allow the camera the ability to focus and you rarely expose wide open anyway.
My best, J. Goffe
