Nice shots. I even noticed in the third photo that the lead engine on that line still is showing the old color scheme. Nice job capturing that too.

Yeah. They still paint a few in the War Bonnet scheme. The BNSF runs right behind my work. I even see some in the old Santa Fe blue. They also have a huge yard in KCK. I go over it almost every day. I find it cool that they are going back to the basics as I would call it and painting some in the old schemes to show the history of how they have changed. I have 2 past relatives who worked on the Chicago & Northwestern so I think it is neat to see the old names out again.

Hey that's right up my alley.....I want to win my company calendar contest but haven't come up with the "right" picture yet. All would have been better with a tripod but I didn't pack one.

Great pictures Ken and dje....Your engines are more colorful than ours on the east coast. Do you use photoshop to do that Ken ? I had a picture of a steam engine somewhere to show but my file management is HORRID with a
