Mine is a Nikon d70. I have been using it on auto for about 3 years. I decided this year to explore the other options. Problem is, teaching "old" dogs new tricks isn't as easy as it used to be. I played around with my aperture a little today. And my new polarizer filter. Some good some not. People keep telling me about the rule of thirds and to learn them so I can break them. Ah well. Learn and learn. Try and try and try again.
Sounds like I'm further South. It would be fun to get together though. I'm a beginner in many ways so I will learn much more from you, I'm sure. My husband and I like to make day trips to explore our "new" state. Maybe we can plan a trip up your way and meet. Let's keep in touch.
Okay. I use the grid lines on my camera. I guess I still get confused where to place the center. Can someone explain using one of the above photos please?
Not sure where Senneca is! I live in Lexington if that helps. thanks, Charlene P.S. Sorry this took so long to reply. have a great day.
I was trying to work more on my composition and rule of thirds. Still struggling with them. But I think I may be getting the hang of it some! Comments welcome!

It's sad we live in a day and time where there is little sportsmanship and teams have to find a way to cheat to win. I think the NFL should not only fine the team like it does now but disqualify them from the Super Bowl.

Bob, where can you rent lenses? Are the rentals only for the newer cameras? Thanks.
Thanks for the link. I looked it up. It's easy to understand and makes better sense. Thank you!
You might try Kenmore Camera. They are a wonderful camera shop in the Seattle area. They sell new and used equipment. You can go online and check them out.
I'm new to this and am trying to learn about composition. Please tell me your thoughts on this photo I took of the fountain at our governor's mansion in SC. Thank you!
