Haven't posted yet and am a little intimidated given the quality of everyone's work here, but finally decided, "What the heck. He's beautiful, even if I don't capture him perfectly. Elliott, my little guy."
My friend the lizard I found lounging at the botanical gardens and chairs are an obsession of mine; they form wonderful symmetrical shapes and patterns, something my photography teacher always taught me to look for when shooting.
The last one is the first time I decided to play with the tone of a photo on line.
I hope you find something you like.

I'm glad you said that about the 7D, because I always wanted one but my husband was dragging his feet; said they were too expensive. Now I am glad. I really do like my camera. What I really want are always more and more lenses. :)
Thanks, I look forward to learning a lot from everyone here.
Love to take pictures; some pretty good, others not so much. Generally have a good eye but need to work on my technical skills. I wuse a Canon Rebel Xti with a variety of lenses.
I just compared the one you touched up with the train in the photo, and found I really like the one you improved upon much, much better. Thank you. :) Actually, I have just compared them all now and have found the same with all three.
What do you mean "store original before downloading" I will be happy to. I won't post anymore until I figure out how to do so. Thank you for telling me a piece of obviously imperative information.
Thank you so much. And it definitely is a must for all bucket lists!
OH, awesome. Where exactly are you from? And why on earth did you leave? And where have you transplanted yourself?
You did get the name right, however, I confuse everyone by using my daughter's name in my username. :) And thank you for showing me what you mean, and I can definitely appreciate what you mean, and really like it. Now I am struggling between your version or my darker, richer version; previously I, obviously, preferred the darker, richer versions. So keep commenting and you may convert me yet.
thanks to both of you, and I am sending more, and will continue doing so for quite some time now. You will probably regret saying "SHOWTHEMALL" :)
I know many of these are similar, but I can't choose which ones are the best between them.
Eight hour train ride on the McKinley Explorer to Denali National Park from Anchorage.
Thank you for the compliment on the photos. I am assuming you use a Canon? You are too funny in your assumption, however, as the title led you to misunderstand; the name of the building is "Canon House Office Building". I don't think it has anything to do with the camera; but I could be wrong. :)
not at all, I rather like this color version! It gives some depth to the picture.
