Merry, I went to the bathroom mirror and checked my wings...all those that reported that the frayed edges were a result of age and wear tear, were definitely correct. Mine are just a mess! Nice shots of a very special butterfly!

Quite a nice photo, Fran! In contests, there will normally be one, or more, judges who will be extremely critical of your adjustments in Photoshop...do your clean-ups while enlarged to at least 300% on your computer. Quite a nice one to submit with the adjustments you, and others, have discussed.

Good to hear from you Jim! Due to some limiting mobility issues, nearly all my bird pictures are shot through the kitchen window. It does require a bit of Windex on both sides of the glass. I have several large tree branches fastened to the deck rails and a few others mounted horizontally between them to improve the scenery for the photos.
