You do realize that your "not great" shot would have made any astronomer (or photographer) from fifty or sixty years ago die of envy. I can't wait to see one that you consider really good.

Very nice. Try plugging barn or old barn into search (It's at the top of the page) to see what some other hoggers have done. Welcome to the hog.

You're off to a good start. I've been clicking away for years and have only gotten one shot of a Coopers hawk. Welcome to the hog.

With my D3100 I use a Tamron 70-300 (usually zoomed out), the "sports" setting, and single point focus. I'm not saying this is the best possible combination, but I've gotten some shots I'm pleased with. Manual settings provide more control, but birds don't usually hang around very long and I hate it when a good shot goes away while I'm fumbling with buttons.

I've tried this shot quite a few times and your result is about as good as any of mine. I did get one picture with more detail using "Registax" (a free download) and about sixty stacked images. https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-511746-1.html One good thing about the moon, it will pose for you for as long as it takes to try lots of settings.

I think he is a color variant of the red squirrel; we have several of those around. There is a hint of color on his back and the eyes are darker than the white rabbits I have seen so I'm not quite sure if he is albino or not. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Impressive and rare photo of what I think is a Fox Squirrel. It is a true albino with pink eyes.

Possibly both. Nicholson may have been quoting Nicklaus when he used the line in his Oscar acceptance speech. And since we are in a correcting mood today, you misspelled Nicklaus.

As someone, maybe Jack Nicholson, once said, "I've been really lucky; and the harder I've worked, the luckier I've been." Shots like this one don't just happen, great capture!

This may be a little like the "Is it plugged in" question that computer trouble shooters ask, but are you using the auto focus correctly? I loaned a camera to my son once and forgot to tell him to press the shutter halfway to get focus and then all the way down to shoot. Of course all his shots came out blurry.

Hi.I'm new in photography. I owe a Rebel T6s (w) two lenses and try it both of them in different settings and pictures come out blurry. Also, I have a problem with controlling camera setting in manual mode with the aperture and shooter speed. Is there a problem with me or equipment. Please help me. Thanks.
