Not all lenses are recognized properly by LR. I had a Tamron 200-500 which was not recognized as no one created a profile for it.
Use an L bracket on the camera an Ikea rolling shopping bag with a square camera case insert and a bungee cord. Works well for me.
I use both as plug ins for LR v6 but really like Luminar. I didn’t buy into Adobe’s monthly billing.
If you visit Rome Italy your thoughts may change about handing over your camera to someone you don’t know. Back up a lot more ...
Use a ten second setting for the finale to really capture all its glory.
A tripod and cable release are a must.
Rx-100 still good and sold even after 5 years
I need one with motorized wheels.
It is a great lens and good for 95 percent of the time. Nice all around lens and not too heavy.
Not the sharpest at 600mm but otherwise it produces beautiful images. Getting use to the menus can be frustrating.
Just about any picture even one taken with an Smart phone can be improved slightly. It is worth a couple minutes if you are passionate about your images.
Consider a light weight one that you can fit inside an Eagle Creek light weight rolling backpack. That way when you want to take a lot your back will thank-you.
It made a huge improvement on Tamron and Tokina lens but most of my Nikon lens did not need it.
I have an Rx10 iv & two Nikons. Save your $ & time and frustration. Your Nikon will serve you well and not drive you crazy with different menus and operation. You will get what you want quickly and easily which will lead to a more enjoyable trip. Make sure you bring a polorizer for all that ocean and green.
If recovery doesn’t work. Send it to them for a free replacement. They are pretty good that way.
