So all of a sudden you are backtracking on this comment? " Also what credibility do they have regarding the camera industry. Even if they chose Leica, Nikon or Canon their proclamation would be sketchy at best."

You are the one working on zero credibility!!!

Time magazine twenty years ago was worth the price of the subscription. Today it's just another super market tabloid to be read while your waiting to check out

This is a typical "Kill the messenger" reply, and not adding to the above conversation!

While the reaction from the usual suspects is what I would expect, the reality is that this type of attention to the camera market is good for all manufacturers. Yes, I am a Sony shooter, but the fact that a camera of any brand is mentioned as a "Best Invention" can only help the market, raise the profile of all products, and spur competition. The fact that it is Sony once again has all the Canikon members's feathers ruffled. Too bad they can't see how this also benefits them!

I think Sony is the only mfr to use the Type A CF Express cards. Prograde cannot shirk responsibility by saying Sony's in camera formatting is the problem. Prograde manufactured the cards to go with Sony's system!

Is it possible that you have used up your batteries, ie. they no longer keep a full charge?

I have only seen that message when using a non OEM battery. Were your batteries charged out of camera or in camera?

I think it is hard to communicate on this blog now, but that was not the question. I like the idea of the new Tamron 17-50mm f4.0 lens. That intrigues me. But personally I would like to see Sony update the 24-105 f4.0 lens with it's new lighter technology. That would be a winner!

I wonder if that would have helped my Dad and Brother. Once, after my Mother had called an ‘all hands’ reunion up in Michigan, they went sailing; they returned towing the sailboat. Eventually, they admitted that they quite a time if it, as they had capsized at the deepest part of the lake. {I don’t remember that lake’s statistics; it was 5’ or under about a mile out from the cottage we had rented, but very deep at ‘Deep Water Point’; ‘Torch Lake’ had a sign “Where the rainbow stores it’s colors”}

On my Honeymoon (ages ago!), I rented a sailfish. Going out to sea in the Bahamas was fun. Trying to return without knowing how to tack was the problem. We had to yell SOS to a passing group after capsizing repeatedly, and drifting towards rocks! They brought a boat to tow us back. Quite embarrassing, but my admiration for sailboats and sailing has grown!

Dual keels you are referring to are called "bilge keels". If you have a boat with bilge keels one advantage is they can be self supporting...as soon in photo, ie. good in areas that have major tide changes.

That is what makes this photo so amazing, that you can see the effect of those bilge keels. You learn something new everyday!

Can someone answer the question of the dual keels on the sailboats? I was not aware that this was a trend. Does two smaller keels sail better than one large one?

As someone who has gone through the mental process you described, but then took several months of work to create a painting, I have a different perspective on your issue. When I am done with a painting, I compare it to the initial image in my mind. Was I able to create what I wanted to create? This is what you have done, but in using AI, it all happens without you participating. The question is; What have you learned from the experience? You claim you can do better next time by knowing how to program the AI sequence. If that provides you with satisfaction, then by all means stay with it. If you feel somehow hollow from the experience, then find a new creative endeavor!

Where have you been? Several feature films have been shot with smart phones, and some have won awards.
Here is a list of 12 of them as of 2018. More have been shot since then.

In February, Steven Spielberg produced and shot his first music video entirely on an iPhone.

Thank You. It was "Unsane" that I saw in the theatre. Yes, these people know how to light a scene, but the quality they get from the iPhone movie is incredible. Not that I'm giving up my A7iv either........!

I will believe it when the entertainment industry starts using cell phones to produce feature films and commercials. Many Youtubers use cellphones to produce their content so it is not too far off. But, changing the movie industry is like steering a super ship.. it takes time. You just can't turn on a dime or stop quickly.

There was a feature length movie made with an iphone a couple of years ago. I saw it in the theatre and there is no way I would have known it was made any way different than most films I have seen. That ship has sailed!!

Ashkenazi interbreeding will cause a lot of this. When I grow my beard I look like the source of the shroud of Turin, and that scares me! Congratulations on all the research you were able to do, and finding your doppelgänger.
