Restaurants are beginning to throw people out when they have a weapon. I certainly don't want to go out to eat and have guys who are drinking carrying rifles. They obviously have some mental problems so restaurants are asking them to leave.

Concealed carry permit means you cannot see my weapon. If they can't see it they can't throw you out. In over half a decade of using restaurants and bars I have never seen anybody carry a rifle!

Most all of the recent mass shootings in the USA have been in "gun free zones." This shows how well laws/rules work to stop these horrible events. Now several restaurant chains (starbucks, Jack in the Box, Chipolte, etc) have declared their places of business "gun free zones." So they will not see me or most of friends buying their food.

I will continue doing business in these places. With my concealed carry permit they will never know I have a weapon.

With all due respect, your statement shows your ignorance on this issue.

Take your countryman's advise and stay out of this issue. Remember, our guns are what gave us freedom from British rule in the first place.

So very well put!!!

In a town center not far from my home, there is a fountain square where the fountain shoot jets of water from ground portals in seemingly random patterns and timings.

When summer rolls around, it's common to see children skipping and dancing around the jets. It's a "water park" of sorts.

I wanted to try some night time long exposure shots, and tonight was a great time to do so, as there weren't any kids.

So I took a number of shots using different exposure settings. None of these have been post-processed. EXIF data is available when you click the download button.

I plan to go back when it's lighter out, and hotter. I hope to get some shots of the children playing, but for now I'd like feedback on what works and what doesn't in these shots.

The first thing that hit me is that you have the exact same disease that I have. All my pictures tip 3 degrees to the left.

Yet another gun shooting, innocent people killed because of Americas obsession with guns! When are you going to learn, how many more people have to die? Does any U.S president have the guts to bring in gun laws?

FYI The first three men killed were butchered with a KNIFE. You should get on YouTube and watch "Elliot Rodgers Retribution". It is still up, I just watched it five min. ago. What kind of law do you suggest that could stop a nut case like him. If you have a answer I'd like to hear it.

Germany has a serious alcoholism problem so allowing teen drinking is not a solution. Given the fact that brain development takes place up to age 25 I think that would be an appropriate drinking age.

I understand now. Getting married before the age of 25 can cause some serious brain consequences. That explains it,I was only 19.

I'm surprised there was never a sequel, although there was a remake in 1988. I remember seeing the original in 1958, and I was sure there would be a sequel because of how it ended (don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it.)

I think it was Steve McQueen's first major role, playing a teenager when he was 27.

The remake was the pits!! My grandkids would not set through the original.
It was "not real looking". Spoiled!

It was probably introduced to counteract something that was considered even worse. :D

Talk about an invasive species, how about kudzu in the south? I was amazed when I first saw it. Scary.

I've just seen a thing on TV which I find difficult to believe. The only crop that is native to north America is the Jerusalem artichoke. Everything else was introduced later.

I was at a friends home in New Zealand when the drinking age was 16. I was shocked to see his 14-year-old son inter the room with a half empty vodka bottle in hand. Nothing was said to him!!
