Yet another gun shooting, innocent people killed because of Americas obsession with guns! When are you going to learn, how many more people have to die? Does any U.S president have the guts to bring in gun laws?

May I respectfully suggest we Brits do not interfere in US affairs. I am quite sure they can find plenty to castigate us with. Also if you want a gun in UK I am reliably informed it is quite easy to obtain one.

Guns don't kill people any more than cars being driven 100 miles per hour. It's the nut behind the trigger/wheel.

yes but if that nut didn't have a gun, he would not be able to pull the trigger !

In that case, keep the knives, scissors, hammers, & anything else that can maim, injure, or kill locked up.

I guess this is about that nut case in California?!
You will notice this is all about mentally deranged people, in this case a spoiled rich kid!
Unstable, potentially dangerous people should be locked up!
As usual there was plenty of warning with this one but our liberal/humane system? failed us again!

I think you are missing the point, a gun is made for killing things, people animals etc, knives, scissors etc are tools

A gun is made for 'shooting things'. One can fire a million rounds, and never kill anything, if they choose NOT to.

If you'll notice, the first three guys he killed, were tooled to death.

Thats a dumb thing to say, you just can't do the damage with knives etc. as you can with a gun and folks can run from such things. That said if they have more gun laws I think that just like the Brit said you could get guns. I think people just want to do something and the laws are any do. I read that background checks are worthless. Most of the Laws would be like the "stop" program for drugs and kids. Study after study show it does no good but since it is "doing something" about drugs it keeps going and wasting everyones time and money. I don't know how to stop the gun violance but just passing laws is not going to do it. Buy the way I'm a Lib. - Dave

I wonder what the result would have been if while the first victim was being brutally stabbed with a "tool" the second victim took his weapon (too bad he didn't have one) and shot the attacker? There would 5 folks still living today.

There are more than enough gun laws on the books now. If there not enforced what good are more. I'm a gun loving republican member of the NRA and am sick of hearing how the left want to take away my guns because some mental case gets his hands on one. I guess if we take away things like backpacks and rice cookers that will stop the bombings. Guns don't kill people do.

It doesn't matter what is used to kill a person, they're still just as dead. A gun, knife, or hammer doesn't make any difference.

Why don't we look at a real problem?

I think auto accidents ought to be included in this list. Note that there is very little "movement" to curb deaths by auto accidents other than MADD. In other words, there's no liberal, left, conservative, or right groups fussing about auto deaths. No matter what side of the bell curve we are on, we all drive motor vehicles. Thus, auto deaths in much larger numbers appear to be more acceptable than the few caused by crazies with weapons. The # of auto related deaths for 2012 (most recent yr I can find) is 34,080.
