Thanks,
I feel a little silly sending a PM to an ostrich, but I did it anyway.

Been there, done that. Like I said, most of the emails are going to the right "new" address. Just the "digest" emails are still going to the old address. Any other ideas?

No specific answer, depends on the email you use, but, most gives you the facility to 'filter'. Specify UHH as an address you want to block. Should stop emails or redirect to 'spam' and trash regularly or contact admin. Hope this helps.

Ummm, I never said I don't want to receive those digest emails, I just want them to go to the correct address.

When I first joined I gave an email address that I give out if I'm not sure what to expect from the person/company that I'm giving it to. After being a member for a week or so I decided to change that to my main email address. Now all emails telling me someone has responded to a discussion I'm subscribed to goes to the new email address. That's all fine and dandy.

However, I'm still getting the "photography forum digest" emails going to the old address once a day and I can't figure out where to change that. I figured changing my email address once will change it for all emails that come to me from this website, but it seems that's not the case. Can anyone help? :?:

Cool!
Here's a couple of photos of my motorcycle. I took these with my Nikon D40, which I recently sold and upgraded to my D5100. The photo with the river behind the bike made it into a calendar!

A little boy, about 5 years old, is taking a bath. His mother is close by.

He is examining his tiny testicles and he says "Mommy, are these my brains?"

His mother thinks for a second then answers "Not yet!"

This is a pretty interesting thread. If you go to the DxOmark website and look at the camera reviews there the D610 comes out on top, so I went to Amazon.com and started looking at the D610 reviews. There are a bunch of weenies on there that are unhappy with their D600's because of this issue and they are entering 1 star reviews of the D610 because of it. Ummm, excuse me, but you don't even own a D610, why are you giving it a bad review you fu**ing morons? Man it really irritates me sometimes reading some reviews from people that review the wrong product, or they give something a bad review because they are f-ing morons who can't figure out how to use something, or they ordered the wrong product so they give it a bad review when it was obviously their problem, not the problem with the product! Did I mention that these reviews get me all riled up? Well they do! Grrr......

I don't think she even owns a camera. If she does it's a P&S from the 70's. Maybe a brownie!

Welcome Santa!

For Christmas can I please get a Phase One Digital Back (80 MP please) and a Phase One 645DF body and a few lenses? They aren't expensive cameras, only about $100K or so. Can I have one, can I, huh?

D, thanks for your input. We were all new here once. And most of us parallel your learning curve.
I came here in the middle of a firestorm. I guess I was initiated by fire.
I follow all of the tech talk, since the foto stuff is so inconsistant.
You too may benefit from a gallery where you don't have to wade past all the sleeping Grandkids in order to find something helpful, such as I am proposing.
Much of the forum has a few that get all the accolades, no matter how good or bad their work is. It's a tough way for others to learn anything meaningful, especially, when they are being told how great an image is, and its not. That makes it confusing and slow for learning.
In a winner gallery, all the photos have been prescreened by outside sources. So popularity here would not play into it. A foto would have had its own merits to be eligible.
I think, it would become a gallery for the many, and not just a chosen few. So there would surely be opposition by all those status quo people. You could have been here since day one, and not qualify, or be your first day, and are eligible to display, as long as your work is verifiable. More democratic that way.
D, thanks for the input, it's the kind of input that needs to be put out there. That's how we can improve this whole site.

D, yes, I knew exactly what you were talking about, good call.
And if I have not done so elsewhere, D, welcome to the Hog.
